And here you have it. A Roman anatomical breastplate. Pretty self explanitory, no ;P? Models for all races, both phenotypes and both sexes. Just don't put it on a large female half-orc unless you absolutely must!
The 2DA is padded so that this is compatable with pretty much any PC parts hak, so combining the 2da's should be a breeze. A note on .plt channels: the design and the breastplate itself use the leather channels because the metal channels didn't give anywhere close to the definition I wanted. As always, comments are most welcome :).

Just perfect for use on our server. Thanks!

"I'm sure if I took the time I could find an actual Greek female breastplate"
Very unlikely I'm afraid, even in Sparta in which women had the most freedom, they did not fight in any army. Hence no breatsplates.
Good work by the way Yumi-Chen. I am using it a lot for officers on my Roman based module I am making.
I have made a few Legionaries using bits and bobs.
I suggest people combine this with the greek armour that someone has made as that has togas and skirts so that you can have more realistic roman looking soldiers.
Someone just needs to make some proper Roman helmets now!

My work is always all over the place, and at the moment the legionnaire armour has been put on the backburner, so to speak.
For progress on it, well, I have had the padded kilt as a robe done for quite some time, but I need to resolve some clipping issues. I still need to do the sandals, but that is just altering the feet and shin textures so that won't take long.
However, at the moment I am more interested in working on some representations of Suikoden 3 stuff (clothes, heads, etc) than in trying to reproduce Roman armour. So, your gonna have to wait a while longer. Don't blame me, blame my attiontion span ;P!
::ignoring a few comments below:: I think you did a great job, YumiChan. I can't *wait* for you do full legion roman armor. I was thinking of Lisa's kilts, but cut so that it looks more like those trimmed studded leather...erm, aprons? >Sigh< I'm going to go bone up on my terminology for roman/greek armor now. If it will be half as confusing as remembering all of those french terms for medieval armor then I'll be even busier than I thought... ;D

Since this is non-replacing, you'll have to make a breastplate using this torso, and then put it somewhere you can find it (ie: in a store, in a container, etc.)
Ignoring the rather odd comments about the nipples, thanks for the positive feedback... in case anyone wants to know, I'm working on a full suit of Roman legionnaire armour. It's coming along quite nicely, so expect to see it in the near future :).
Dear Yumi, probably my question is stupid, but I hope you are so kind to help me. My problem is I added your hak to several modules (Prelude, Chapter1, Penultima City, The Vault) but I don't know how the character can get that magnificent roman breast-plate. It looks like the traders (Aribeth included) do not have it. Where can one find it?
Thank you.

Brilliant mod Yumi,im going too use it in my world as the breastplate looks great and fits in nicely with my imperial theme,i was surprised at the number of comments made about why the nipples show, well as we know the romans and greeks were masters at sculpture and rendered the male torso(female also seeing as this is a fantasy rp game)upon armoured breastplates(note what the armour is called) and so myself saw no reason why those rather silly comments were/are being made, keep up the great work.
Well, I can't model so you are not going to see any custom content from me. But does that mean that I can't state my opinion or that I am a complete idiot?
As a piece of advice to you mr Terra, if you can't stand anything other than praise and rejoicing, why do you bother to publish your content here at all?
Creative license? You have humor, I'll give you that. If you had written "I like breasts", then I would have respected it. No females in the Imperial Army? Hehe.
Manne, don't be daft... historically, there weren't female warriors in the Roman military.
It's called creative license. If you ever step up and release some custom content to the community, make sure you judge yourself by the same standards you seem to be purporting here.Carpe Terra, Project Lead

Awesome! Looks like juaqine pheonix's armor in gladiator.
Could you make sagmented armor though? maybe a full set modeled off of Rusell Crowe's armor from the beginning of the movie?
Anyway, looks awesome!

Good stuff. And no worries, most Roman armor was leather, not metal, aside from chain mail and segmentata armor. The decorative stuff was almost always hard leather. Too bad your stuff is coming out after code freeze was done on CEP, this and your other roman clothing would have been a nice addition.
