These two weapons are my first attempt at this sort of modeling. They are designed to be a period looking great sword and short sword used by landsknechts. They do replace existing parts, and they can be used either as a hakpak or as override material. I've included a folder with the parts that go into the override, so you don't have to extract the hakpak. The ReadMe included has the appearance numbers listed that will show the weapons in the toolset. Note: The weapon visual effects do not show properly on these as they are a different size than the standard weapons they replace. Enjoy :) UPDATE: I reworked the ricasso to look better and have less on the poly count.
Any chance you could do a Grossemesser as your next sword in this series?
I have some photos of some if you are uncertain how they look like.___________________________________________________________

I have PSP7, PS7, UPI8, and a handful of others. If I remove the gray halo then all definition is lost on the blade. Not that you can tell it is a blade anyway after it gets so distorted.
The reason I am opting for leaving these as replacing models is due to the fact that if you use them in your override you will be able to choose them in the toolset and see them in any mod. As well, when you are playing online you will still look like you are using a weapon to others not using the custom appearances instead of them seeing you running around 'pretending' to swing a weapon that really isn't their to them.
I'm sure one or more of the compile junkies will add these to a non replacing hakpak soon enough."Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!
Mmmh... If I recall correctly, in greatswords everything between 51-94 (could be further) will show up correctly without 2DA changes (as long as they have their own inventory graphics), so why they still have to be replacing? o_O And I think that it is same with many other weapons.
What comes to that screenshot problem... there is a function in PSP that allows you to replace colour with another? Use that to get rid off grey areas? (Download a trial version if you don't have it). ^_^
I noticed that recolouring textures is quite easy and takes very little time, so I suppose it is not discourteous to ask if you could add adamantium (black) and mithril (white) versions to next release? :)
I believe I posted the reasons in the ReadMe, but no one ever reads those lol!
I actually took the screenshots and made the appearances for the toolset and inventory icons. I tested them out in game and they look like little black sticks. i.e. Very used toothpicks.
I guess I could scale them to be fatter than the in game model like the originals....
Anyway, once I get a halberd and a couple of requests put together (such as the long sword version of the flamberge) I'll throw together an updated pack with the inventory pics included. :)"Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!
Cool, I'm glad they are being well received :) Mic thought they were too thin, but I went for realism. I'll go ahead and make the toolset and inventory pics for these, but they are gonna look bad.
I've been messing around with better skins for the ricasso, so once I'm satisfied with those I'll go ahead and update these and the flamberge with the inv. pics and better skins."Me Go Beer!" - Mr. Dave _________________________ Me go beer!
