I thought it would be nice to give Aerie the chance to regain her wings. The hak sets pfe0_head025 to the Aerie head model, which can be used to create an NPC with wings. I have been experimenting with GMax and NWNMax as a beginner and I thought I'd try to modify one of BearThing's Aribeth head models (#12, Thanks BearThing!). I made some very minor push and pulls of vertices along with minor uvm mapping readjustments. I might find myself updating again, once I can upgrade from Photoshop Elements.
In 2007, you mentioned that you wondered if I could do something, what was it? And what do you want to see changed in the model now, seeing as your rating plummeted to a poor, 3.5?

I'd like to see this re-done, years after it's initial release. _________________________ "A dagger in the night is worth a thousand swords at dawn..."
I don't check here often, thanks, if you have a Bioware forum account you can send me a PM there. I'm Poecile there, too.

This is an amazing replica.
I was wondering if you would be interested in doing something special. Is there anyway I can contact you? _________________________ "A dagger in the night is worth a thousand swords at dawn..."

Wow, I give this a 10, I fell in love with Aerie, she is just such a cute girl. Plus her music in bg2 is really awesome. Now I can meake my Aerie romance module. Look for it later under module section (Aerie romance) Thanks for this sweet head. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. _________________________
Do you have an Arwen portrait in mind? These images are from head models that I quickly made in GMax. What you see is their Toolset appearance.
It isn't easy to replicate the appearance of Arwen. You're used to seeing her face in many expressions and poses that any model might appear too static and bland.

maybe you could make arwen's head model from her portrait?

Okay, i'm sure it took you a while, and obviously you know your way around modeling...but that head is scerrrrry. You should try making her eyes NOT oval shaped and make them look like the other models. Whatever those markings are on her cheeks, get rid of them. They kinda look like eyebrows on her cheeks. And to perfect the project, make her hair bigger and not sooo colorful. I know that you're trying to make it look like those hair bands, but it looks more like Walt Disney threw up in her hair. But don't lose hope! keep trying!
i wanted i head for aerie to use in i mod and lol and behold poecile made one works for me
poecile i have notice if you look realy close above her right eye you can see a slight texture wrap you canr realy se it unless you look close in the toolediter
Now let me get this straight, you love the model and you think it's a Michael Jackson look alike, right?
So, first question, which version of MJ, and second, if you love the model and the model looks like MJ, do you love MJ too, if so, don't expect me to create the Moonwalk character animation. 8)

I love your work!!
Hey! It's also look like Michael Jackson too!!
HAHAAHHA
Don't worry about it, Stingray, I am only goofing too.
The head model is based on BearThing's Aribeth's head model, but it has Aerie's texture with some modifications to the head model.
Aerie is a character and possible party member from Baldur's Gate II-The Shadows of Amn/Throne of Bhaal, from BioWare.
She is an avariel that has lost her wings and could be found working in a circus in Baldur's Gate with a gnome father-figure, Quayle.

Well then, my appologies (even though I was only goofing). I've never heard of "Aerie". The name sounds similar, and the head model basically looks like Aribeth with paint. Excuse me while I remove my foot from my mouth... 'POP' Ah, that's better. 8)
Stingray, this is Aerie's page! Yes, I know, Aerie sounds similar to the (Ari-) in Aribeth but that's purely coincidental. And besides, my BhaalSpawn pc favored Jaheira... and lookie there, Jaheira ends with -IRA which is ARI spelled backwards. 8)
Anyway, Aerie *is* an atypical heroine, seeing that she is demurely clad in a full-length, flowing yellow robe that reveals less skin than a Mummy Lord wrapped in rotting bandages.

OK. Poecile, Overmind, Flamwielder. I have to say this. Your module "Aribeth's Revival" is great. It really is. But you guys are going to have to get outside. I think you're actually falling in love with a fictional character.
All of you, slowly step away from the computer screen, with your hands in the air. Turn around, and walk towards the door.
This is an unhealthy relationship. You know you'll get tired of telling her to continue in mid speach all of the time. And you know you're going to end up backhanding her for constantly bobbing her head.
Still. I suppose it is better than Lara "topheavy" Croft.
hay much better poecile the tattoo liiks about right now as well hay good stuff poecile if you need eney help on the next letme know

Looks like you've just about nailed it. Good work!
I added the full tattoo to her forehead. I posted the update. Click the thumbnail to see the pattern. I may have to equalize the eyebrows. I'm not sure if that's just the lighting angle or if the eyebrow colors are off a smidge.
i left you a email poecile the head is looking much beter but i left my thoughts in a email for you
looks good My honor is my life

Yeah, the full tatoo and the new chin make the whole face much clearer. It looks like you fixed the chin by shifting the tectures inwards (towards her nose). The narrowing of the face that causes makes it fit the portrait better. It's hard to say how narrow it should be. Faces are frustratingly hard to quantify that way. Looks great though.

I think using the original symbol from the portrait might work better. It is the repeated horizontal lines that make it look odd. Don't get me wrong, I think it looks great. These are just very minor suggestions. Good idea on using the armor colors, by the way.
It almost looks like she is wearing a yellowish base foundation coloring to which she applies the other markings/colorings, e.g. the lilac lower eyelid design.
It also looks like she has a cleft chin, or a dimple. I probably should darken the tone of her skin, to match the portrait a little better.
Khanaris, yes, I see your point about the chin. It needs a little better mirroring. I think she has a dimple, or cleft chin, but it is too pronounced on the model.
I also see how the pattern could be mistaken for odd wrinkles. Maybe if I were to alter the angle of the waves of the spiral.
Or how about this, instead of mirroring the image, getting half of the original, I could just use the full spiral pattern, bypassing the mirroring effect? If I were to use the original pattern and make it even more distinct, do you think it would pass?

It looks much better this way, but you might consider dropping the facial tatoos altogether. There comes a point when NWN just cannot provide enough detail. The forehead, while certainly close to the BG portrait, comes off as looking like wrinkles here. The only other gripe I have is the chin. Right now it looks like she has a Gaston-style horizontal double chin, which is a little on the scary side.
Oh, I forget to mention that I assigned a few hair ribbons and baubles to match the metal1 and metal2 color. These are not selectable choices, but I believe they will match her primary armor metallic colors. It just adds to the colored ribbons/metallic baubles in her hair.
