This hak-pak is an 'add-on' to the standard desert tileset. It has been required from Alberto Fracasso, some days ago. Now it's completed, so I decided to post it on the Vault, 'cause I'm sure it will be usefull to many builders. This hak add two new buildings types ([TERRAIN TYPES], in the 'set' file) to the desert: 'Poor Buildings' and 'Mud and Rock Buildings' (they came from the underdark tileset). I've used Bioware standard textures only, except for three new ones that I've used for the mud buildings, the pavement and the awning of one of the buildings, so the size of this hak is very small. I've added to it 7 new loadscreens (this made the size ... a bit larger! LoL). The archive includes the files for the minimap and the 'edges'.
CREDITS: I've got a good help from Kert Wettian, for some textures, the loadscreens and for testing the add-on. NOTE: This hak do require NwN, SoU and HotU. Infact I used some textures from both expansions. The archive includes a second hack to adapt this add-on to Na's 'DC Desert' (from 'DC_Tiles ver 3.00', that I'm using in my own PW).

It's really one of the best ones. I used it in many modules and everyone of my players told me it's really good...

Hey, I tried using your desert city and add-on into the game and it works but anytime I open up a menu, for example, the properties of the area, a placeable or creature or anything, the view of the map covers up the menu so I can't actually really do much with it. I thought maybe it was because I was using another hak(which I got rid of) but then I opened up your demo and it did the same thing. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if so it's be great if you could make an update to fix it somehow. Thanks.

Very good work. You've gone the extra mile by creating the screen shots and updating the minmap. Make it a professional job.

I just got a chance to look at this and it turned out pretty well. I'll be using this hak myself.
For compatibility with DC_Tiles, I'll include\use your set file in the next up date to be sure the tile entries for the building terrains remain in tact.

Great job! Had just started some preparations for doing something similair, but this is realy good and I will use it instead.
Always nice to see when people take the time to take the harder but more size efficent way of replacing the modells and utillise the existing texturepack. Without the loading screens this hak is realy tiny.

I, of course, mean 9 star rating, not 4 star :P

Nice hak. I especially like the "Poor Buildings", they look great. I like the Rock and Mud buildings, but they appear to use metal, so that's a no no for Dark Sun.
This puts me one step closer to my eventual goal of a proper Dark Sun module (that works with 1.61, unlike another Dark Sun mod for NWN). Thanks :)
Good work. It'll be getting a good 4 star rating from me.

Hi all, I think this is a wonderful add on, remember to rate it ;)
