The Evil Dead hak contains varies pc parts, weapons and placables to help start up your own Modules based upon the Evil Dead/ Army of Darkness movies starring Bruce Campbell. If you havent seen the films, then most of this wont make sense to you, like why Ash has replaced his hand with a chainsaw. Check the README file for full list of contents & info.
This hak is groovy! I've been trying to make an Evil Dead mod that covers all the movies and a little more, but it was too damn hard! (no chainsaws, no shotguns, no cars). Thank you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much! Hail to the king, baby! _________________________ "Inconceivable!"

DAMMIT! DAMMIT TO HELL! I just realized this is *ahem* HotU only. Which means I can't use it. Yet. Oh, well. Whoever, makes the mod eventuallu, keep it so the underpriviliged can use it, eh?
Funny enough, I did build a Evil Dead mod. It was crap, horribly undersited (I really could use some help with the finer points, like scipting). luckily, I based the mechanics of the mod on the PS game, so there wasn't too much "character interaction" and fancy movements and costom models and items. With, this, I'll go back and remake it, and post it. Who knows, I might get something, at least.
Copule of ideas- Add Ryuujin's "Creepy Flying Book" hak for the Army of darkness graveyard scene and make the Evil Ash head available as a helmet so it can be taken on and off... Nice work. I hadn't ever considered making an evil dead mod- but it seems a a shame not to considering your hard work!!

Hey nice work. I sent you an E-mail the other day dont know if you got it. It is an invitation to join the Deadworld project at Bioware. I am building a PW based on all your favorite horror movies, but zombies are the main focus. I could really use someone of your considerable talent to assist in the zombification of a bunch of creatures. We have a bunch already and there are some pix at the Deadworld guild at Bioware. If you get a chance stop by and check it out. Thanks
Gord

Hak updated, added double barreled shotgun, pistols, and a Remington Repeating rifle ,use the rapid shot mode for this baby! Fixed the texture on Ash's Car.
I would pay money for an Evil Dead mod if a company were ever to make one!!!Dalmir "The Dark"

The 2da for the voiceset needs to be updated. I'll include an updated 2da next time around four use with it.

Garland
I downloaded your Ash voiceset last night. And I'm sorry to say, but it caused my game to freeze up. I don't know if you'd want to update it, but if you did, now would be a good time.

So Ash's head is for PC?

Attaching the chainsaw to the wrist doesn't sound like a bad idea, maybe I'll put it in next time around. I am not a scripter though and won't be able to get any in there unless someone out there could do it.
As of now I have about dozen things done for the hak already and prob 6 more to finish up, I was working on some of this weeks ago but decided to wait and see how this much would do before finishing everything else.
Thanks for all the comments.

Yeah, I made a voiceset quite a while ago, should still work I'm thinking. Cool chainsaw!

"Also during many animations and in combat, the chainsaw bends at the wrist. Hopefully I'll find a way around these soon."
It's definitely easy to do if it were an NPC (via a revised superset model), but since this appears intended for use as a PC model ... (mind you I haven't downloaded it to look at what you did) one possibility around this is to have the chainsaw as part of the arm model and use an invisible+no shadow right hand model.
Of course there's the problem of equipping anything to that arm (as it's perma-equipped) but a little script magic (OnEquip) can resolve that.
To all of the non-believers, and non-supporters out there -
WHO WANTS SOME?!
All of the die hard Evil Dead fans - you know who you are.
To the creator:
I can't believe my eyes!!! This is the best thing to land on this page since Bioware gave us robes!
Aramis Syx - YOU RULE!!!
'Bruce "Don't call me Ash" Campbell' would be proud!!!
Thank you Aramis!!!!!!!Dalmir "The Dark"

The D&D world has countless Prime Material Planes. Some have to be more advanced than others and we all know that in D&D people can traverse the different planes. So, it's no so out of place as one might think.

You know, I don't want to start a fuss here. But I am really getting tired of people left and right saying things don't belong in NWN. OK, fine. If you don't like something, shut up about it, and don't download it. But a lot of people out there like this stuff, and want it in their games. This is what makes NWN so great. As long as a modeler is willing to do it, it belongs in NWN.
I find your comment "it's completely out of place in NWN" a bit... er... out of place. What stop someone using it on a project like D20 modern? Or even, what stop someone from making a character that went back in time? (I barely remember that on Evil Dead 3 the main character went back in time, but I dont remember if he had the chainsaw or not). Anyway, there are lots of possibilities, and w/ NWN, "almost" everything is possible. Please, open your mind.
Anyway, the hack is awesome. I can't wait for the fixes. :) Good job man, that is indeed a great idea!
