Argh, can't edit... forgot to mention, thusfar we've only noticed it in the skybox that only has clouds, since the others aren't being used just yet.
Also, it seems like camera angle can effect the tiling/flickering effect sometimes. _________________________ Aspiring author; NWN builder and DM.

I've noticed an odd flickering/grid effect when using these skies on my PW. It only shows during day-night or night-day transition periods, however. My players have noticed it as well, using gfx cards of both Nvidia and Radeon make, on all kinds of different computer setups.
I like these too much to remove them from our haks, but the flickering effect is pretty bad... I'm hoping there is a fix for it. In the meantime I am going to use them in areas where the light is 'constant'--where there is no day-night or night-day transitions... _________________________ Aspiring author; NWN builder and DM.

Well, I guess I should have read some of the comments here before I posted. Boy, do I feel like an idiot. Although, Stilgar, I must say that it is a bit confusing seeing a bunch of skyboxes listed in the drop-down menu, but which are not included in this .hak.
So, I'll just spell it out right here and hopefully avoid someone else the confusion.
The only skyboxes that are included in this .hak are CCS_Plateau, CCS_Deep_Valley, and CCS_Clear. They are excellent.

Like some others here, I cannot get these skyboxes to work either. I'm using SoU + HotU 1.62.8047. I've created a new mod, associated the .hak, set fog amount = 0, fog clip = 300, selected one of your skyboxes, and... no luck. I've used another skybox hak before with no problems. Now, I'm stumped.
Really hope we can get this sorted out. Your work looks amazing and I'm hoping to incorporate it into a PW in development.

Aw, now, this is awesome. Easily merge the other skyboxes into this one and you have one (gigantic) skybox hak pak. Well done!

disregard that last post I'm a complete +blocked+...

Okay I only had SoU when I downloaded this and only the last 3 skies on the list worked, non of the other ones. I figured if I had HotU then they would show up, but they don't. I'm not using CEP (yet)...I can't think of any other reason as to why they don't show up in game. I changed the fog distance and all that +blocked+. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you fix it?

I agree with the below posters, the effect in game is just astounding.
I am not a big fan of skyboxes, as the size of such hakpacks is really of a penalty for any builder, but I may consider my opinion again after this release.
I cross my fingers for the CEP to include the high-res skies in one of their next versions/patchs.
PS : I noticed a (small) bug in all three skyboxes (high and low res) once in game. There is a like a "seem", a small blank line, probably where the texture connects to itself. Except that, it is perfect, like most anything of your work.

Really great. And thanks for the hint for the override folder. For the persistent world where i play, very fine :)
Perhaps is he using a hakpak that is in conflict with your sky hakpak?
Anyway, what I mean about tutorial... You could make a detailed description of how to make correct skyboxes, such as what program to use, what size the skybox should be, and things like that.
The entrys for skyboxes are for other hacks, too.
Only the last two CCS_* are working.

I set the fog distance to like 300 and it is still not showing up, none of the skies. The list shows there are like 15 sky selections and only the Bioware ones work.. that's it.. Please help.
