We just intstalled the CEP patch on our server and now we are unable to craft helmets. Everything else seems fine, but there is no option to craft helmets. Any ideas?
Yes, I think you're right about that...parts of this PW are CEP but the place where characters are made doesn't seem to be, at least not fully, if that is possible. Weird.

I would assume the heads don't show up on other people's mods because they may not have the pak themselves. Believe the mod you go into needs to have the pak in order for them to show up. The solo head changing baffles me though. O_x
Heya Gothic Girl, I've been having the same trouble...as well, I've also noticed some discrepancy with head choices. There's a human male head I've been able to select for solo play, but when I choose the same head online, it puts a different one on my guy. I've also had CEP female elf heads not showing up at all.

Okay When I downloaded this CEP thingie I knew I'd get new heads and Portraits, etc. Well When I get them to work on mods I make, but I can't get them to work on other peoples mods. I know they have ther CEP on their mods because I see Players with the Portraits and heads, but I cannot get mine to work. Any suggestions?

Darn, why has everything be microsoft windows binaries?
Can't you just see to have a normal archive with an install file for those microsoft windows users?

found the problem :) Id been using a tlk file that adds feats to when the new weapons are used and stuff (it didnt seem to work tho) I put the cep.tlk on instead of cepfeat.tlk and it worked.

ditto

it includes custom creatures, items, placeables, and has even made my recall and on death scripts not work. (even if they didnt work properly anyway)

has anyone else had this problem? I installed the patch from 1.0 to 1.1 of cep and alot of the custom items have no name at all, just a blank. Ive tried taking the hak packs of and the tlk and then putting them back on but it makes no difference. Can someone help plz.

The CEP makes things so much easier as long as the module you play uses it. Also makes creation much easier. _________________________ Cheers,

Hey radact, go into your custom content tab on your module properties and pick the CEP.tlk as a tlk file. That should fix it.

Has anyone else had the same problem as me with cep?
In the descriptions and names for placeables etc, instead of the item name and category, the names have been replaced with a conversation script. It's a pain when I'm looking for items and have to wade through descriptions that do not match the item. The conversation is not one that exists in my module either, and it's the same problem on another machine I have installed cep to.
Any ideas?

OK, the answer is.... CEPTextureLite. Alright I'm running a non-dds machine (whoda thunk thad make a difference).
It would probably be worth a note in the Troubleshooting section of the manual.

Hmmm....
Though the installation seems to have worked just fine, there seems to be an issue with skins. Some of them work, some of them don't.
For example the panda works fine but the owlbear is white.
Strange....
Any suggestions?

Groovehobbit - I was asking for assistance, not complaining. I did read the entirety of the document. Don't think yourself better than I or anyone else merely because something works for you. Obviously, I'm not the only one to have this problem.
That being said, I think I have found the cause to the problem. I assumed that the patch would be backwards compatible with the CEP - I was wrong. I went ahead and installed on -my local machine-, then logged on to the game (external server which had not been patched yet). While my -local patched machine- would not let me equip wands - but would allow me to use them from my inventory, it sent the execution command to the -unpatched server-, which rejected the attempt, stating they had to be equipped first. I couldn't equip because of the local patch. I couldn't use from inventory because the server hadn't been patched yet. So much for backwards compatability. I uninstalled CEP in it's entirety, reinstalled -only- CEP 1.0, and will patch my system when the server upgrades to the patch.
Problem solved.

I totally love the CEP - and now the patch is set up and ready for download - thats great!
No time for writing, I have to continue work on my module of course with lots of CEP-Stuff involved! :D
