Greets all! This is intentionally a *very* simple hak pack. I experimented with fancier, nicer images, but they just did not do the trick nor meet the goal of this hak. The goal was to provide images which are easy to see and distinguish from one another and from other miscellanious small images which directly relate to the wand or widget they go to. From a DM's perspective, there is an overwhelming number of wands and widgets to keep track of, and one needs the ability to quickly find what one needs (this will be especially true for anyone new to the package). The Inventory Icons / Portraits work on all versions of NWN and its Expansions as well as CEP up to version 1.01. The Icons are numbered 148-198 (under Miscellanious Small) and do not need to be renumbered unless you use additional custom icons.
The images are not automatically associated with the wand or widget. You will need to manually associate the images within the toolset. These portraits cover ALL Wands & Widgets through the upcoming version 1.08. I have also included an icon for the Shaper Wand by Talmud (it will need to be re-made into a miscellanious small item from a wand) as well as one for a custom music item (i.e. TOJTs' one - also needs to be a misc. small item). There are two icons for the Dice Bag (the dice! heheh). I also tossed in two skull images which some may want to use in place of a particular wand they use the most often (maybe for the PC Emote? or the DM Wand?). There are a total of 51 icons. Hope these help some out and make DMing just a tad easier!! ^_-
The most current version of the DMFI Wand & Widget Package (by Hahnsoo, Demetrious, and others) can be found here: http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1071337470723.shtml -- The Custom Music Wand by TOJ is here: http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1085213894000.shtml -- The Shaper Wand by Talmud is here:http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/scripts/data/1031876903559.shtml
It shouldn't be a problem actually, though I have not tested this. The only thing I would recommend simply is to not assign new images to what the PCs get which is as simple as leaving them the default images; then just assign the images you wish to the DM items. That should give you what you want without the players needing anything special. ^_-

This is a great idea. Tell me, do you know of any problems with extracting these images to override to avoid the need for players to download the hak? Sure, they won't be able to see the icons, but its hardly necessary for players to see most of these, anyhow. It seems to work well enough in the toolset, but I haven't had a chance to test it in multiplayer yet.

This simple hak makes using the DMFI wands & widgets so much easier. Great idea and implementation.

What a great idea. These icons with DMFI wands and widget labels are so helpful!
