Lord of the Rings Isengard, the Tower of Orthanc, stronghold of the wizard Saruman, by Aragorn26282. This hak adds the the rural tileset, the great tower of Orthanc. It is a 6 x 6 tileset group, 150 meters high, and I think that the images describe it the best way. Anyway, your pg can walk around the top of the tower, and in the Saruman's balcony as showed. I prepared a module that shows immediately the features of the tower. You can find near the tower a link for the top and, by entering from the main door, you can reach the balcony. In my plans there will be a complete custom Isengard Tileset, with circular walls (the circle of Isengard), and underground constructions made by uruk-hai. For now I decide to release the tower because I don't know if I can continue the work, maybe someone can.
There are some issues I have to talk about. First of all, I don't make any 2d image map, so the tower doesn't appear in the map; then I have to signal some shadows problems, I don't have the time to fix them, but they aren't to bad after all. If I have the time, I will release new versions of the tower. For now, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks. Salvatore Saitta 'Aragorn26282'
Hey there,
I think your tower is great as are the staffs. I was thinking about making an Isengard module of my own, and was wondering a couple things.
1. Would it be okay if I used your staffs of Gandalf and Saruman and the Isengard hak for a module?
2. I am trying to make some walls for Isengard that are round. I have no idea how you create things for NWN, and I am amazed at how people like you create haks and mods ect... I don't know the program that you use to create things and would have no idea how to use it. Would you mind telling me where I could look to find some help on this, or could you help me on this?
3. Last thing. I haven't created any modules except for a tutorial that told me how to do scripts, conversations, areas, ect. Do you have any advice for a newcomer to this?
Thanks,
zcassel11

Great model, pity it wasn't really fully textured.

A definite jaw-dropper, even with the shadow-glitches. _________________________ The Power Almighty rests in this Lone Ring.

I don't know how the Cep is, since I haven't istalled it. So I don't know if the hak works. If the cep doesn't change the rural tileset, this hak works ;-)

It's a good model, keep up the good work. You could have added a better texture, and refined the model.
The current model looks a bit too angular, and I beleive that Orthanc was more of an obsidianish black color.
Best ive ever seen, can you make Minas tirith too? I know it would be like 10 times the work, but it would be soo sweet! Gewd stuufs! Very spiffy!

The textures could be better

It's a 6x6 group? The overall amount per tile is actually significantly low. How big is the actual base of the tower in meters?"Et Eärello Endorenna Utúlien" _________________________ The Power Almighty rests in this Lone Ring.

Thanks for your comments.
Rabaut, yes, I know the original Isengard material, but a black stone didn't look so good in nwn, so I choose this one that eventually fit with the other one, one the middle part of the tower.
Antinate, I think it take a week of hard work...but a month of corrections.
Make it compatible with winter rural is simple, there are some guides I think.
Finally, Dradjeel, the tower is about 5000 polygons...

How many polygons does that thing have?"Et Eärello Endorenna Utúlien" _________________________ The Power Almighty rests in this Lone Ring.
