Eight new male human heads, wearing Dark Age style open-faced helmets.
The heads are numbered 035 to 042, so they do conflict with the CEP, but are usable as PC heads by anyone patched up to date, or as NPC regardless of what version of NWN you are running.
A must have for Rome, Greece and Midgardr. The plt files are a bit on the large size, but worth it. None of the 3 models we selected had coloring on the brows, eyes or lips.

Brilliant work again.

These are quite simply some great heads for NPCs. Excellent work Balders!

If I could make a small request, perhaps you could change the heads so they would range around 100? The heads conflicts with another head hak I have and simply renaming them gives the heads's texture a 'blank' metalic look.
And thank you for the effort you made for the NWN community. :)

I have seen 1 (only 1) horned Sutton Hoo era helm, it was all bronze, even the horns. The S.W.A.G. was that it was for cerimonial use only. Great stuff, keep it up, thanks.
Although I'm not a fan of heads with permanent headgear built-in, these look so good I think I've been swayed! Great work!
Is there a chance of seeing any of those heads without helms too? Particularly #4 & # 8 from the left, I don't think any other heads have that particular look. _________________________ NWN Shield Reskins Link New Small Shields Link

The CODI Sigil tilesets look amazing. I've been fooling around with the Demon1 pack.
Will the final CODI stuff work independently from the Sigil character creator? That is, will I be able to use those great tilesets in my own weekly games not set in Sigil?
Anyway, the heads and the hauberks look great. Great work and you definitely do quality work.
I've had a lot of people asking me about the tileset you can see in the background of the pic. Just for the record, it's the unfinished version of CODI's Sigil tileset, which is a part of Adam Miller's Demon hak for his mod of that name.
Regarding the helmets I'm working on, they are designed to have an historical look - so no wings or horns (for those who know their Saxons, think Sutton Hoo helmet). I currently have two helmets done and I'm searching for inspiration for a third, but since full face helmets were actually rare in the dark ages, I may end up just releasing the two.
Cheers

That's Woden (Odin.. whatever) with the winged helm matey! Horned helms, no- that would ruin it. Oi and wings and aren't 'vikingesque' if that's why you want them. They're just some dodgy missconception a load of people seem to have.

I love the heads, and they are definitely an improvement over some of the CEP's heads, so the numbering problem didn't matter to me.
I do have one question. In the pic you posted, what tileset is in the background? It looks kind of like the CODI, but I think not. Either way, its beautiful and I'd love to get it. I always felt that the city tilest in NWN looked anything but Medieval.

I've seen that there are some little problems with the shadows... If you have the time and the will, could you fix this bug?
I'm waiting impatiently your helmet hak! :-p
I hope it will have the same look as your hauberks hak and this one!
Some humble ideas for helmets :
-some with different sort of wings (eagle wings like Thor helmet, bat wings)
-some with bull horns
I don't know if you plan to do helmets like those in BG1 and 2 because they didn't look like dark aged helmets, but it will be very appreciated!

A dwarven version of these heads would indeed be really good (and something that should've been in the game in the first place).

can u make 2 chaincoffin heads :one openface and one that have only eyes holes ?
Thanks for the comments (as always). I've no plans at present to do any heads for other races, but I have just started work on a (small) set of helmets which are of course usable by all races.

A must have in the collection of any serious NWN fan, along with Balder's whole Dark age set.
Thank you very much for you work, Balder :)

Great stuff Balders. I'm looking forwards to the update already.
Some of the armour in the pic is from my hauberks hak, but I also used some pieces from an update for hauberks which I'm currently working on. Hopfully a much expanded version of hauberks will be released before the end of the month, featuring many new textures, armour stand compatability and matching sleeves.
With regard to the numbering, I personally think the honeymoon period is over for the CEP. While I support the idea of the CEP and would be the first to say that it contains some stunning content, in some areas (especially heads) they seem to have gone for quantity over quality. If these heads had been numbered so as not to overwrite CEP heads, then they would not have shown up in the toolset. Since the hak is mainly aimed at people who want to create a dark age feel in their mods, I figured that the numbering I used made them much easier to use, and most of the CEP heads would not be suitable for such a mod anyway.
Cheers, Balders

I know some armors, they are from the hauberks hak. but some arent from that as far as I know. or is there an update out? the helmets look great by the way, but couldnt they be numbered otherwise so they dont conflict with CEP?
