This tileset, and its little sibling, the "Gothic interiors from the same author, are just pure sweetness, coated with sugar. I wish I had downloaded to explore its possibilities before "finding" it within the CTP, but I can understand why it was included in the first batch almost "as is".
The only things that I would have added to the tileset are walkable rooftiles, and perhaps also referencing the middle piece of the greenhouse ramp as a separate element, so that the builder could place it with a single click. Right now, it seems to me that there's only the central piece, plus the stairs, and the middle piece places itself automatically. Anyway, the Gothic tilesets definitely count among the top 3 of the whole Vault (and TNO to come), in design and quality.
Thank you very much, Chandigar :)

Congrats on Hall Of Fame status. Been a long time coming. I also have to thank you again for creating this tileset, as it was the main one in my module, Rose Of Eternity.

Interesting. Nice amount of work went into this. I'm sure some people will find a great use for it.

For the love of sanity I wish they'd hurry up and update the vault.

Great job. I liked the stairs, and the way you used the variance functionality on the maze tiles so that designers can come up with different layouts.
Two suggestions ... First, consider adding some pre-lit wall torches or some other kind of emitter to the greenhouse tiles. With a gothic setting you might want a rustly lamp on a bracket here or there -- or something else to set the mood. Right now it isn't clear how to light the place without using the vanilla environmental lighting (there isn't a lot of room between the gardens to drop stuff), and you could have some wicked shadows from below or the side.
Secondly -- and this is purely a matter of taste, so disregard -- but the color palatte is kinda wonky. I'm not such a big fan of the floor color of the greenhouse. Something more subdued would make the gardens brighter.
Finally, without knowing anything more about your project but that it's gothic and has greenhouses -- you may want to eventually consider some kind of gruesome maneating plant that causes adventurers to be slowly strangled or digested in acid until their flesh turns into goo and toxic vapor.

i looked at the mansion thing
it looks really cool
but what would be so very awseome is if the project included something like pemberly and rosings type houses
thoes are so awesome
and would look awesome-er with zombies stumbling around them

On a slightly different note: have you considered doing a gothic style cemetary? It could use some of the tiles from this set, only replace the green house with crypts and add some tomb stones. Maybe add a few funerary statues and some withered trees. Okay, maybe it would need a quite a few additional tiles, but it would be cool (as this set is.)

looks great! tried it out last night and it works pretty well too. only problem i had was the inability to place the gh_w_platform tile from the features menu. don't know if it's a bug or just lack of sleep keeping me from seeing something obvious about restrictions on how/when/where it could be placed.
otherwise, great job. i've seen your response to all the mansion comments, so i'll bite my tongue on that request, and just try to wait patiently until you guys are ready for a full release. *starts holding breath*

oh i thought he meant light streaming in... when inside
or
when outside seeing the light shine out the window into darkness... we have an effect like that. I'll need to discuss the resources it would take to add a feature like that so it happened automatically.
I wont have an answer till I pass it by Zonker.Project Coordinator

I've been toying with ideas to address Zonker on just that, since we have had lighting effects of sunlight streaming in a window for over a year now... I thought about adding it if we had time before the big release. On BW window animations i find nothing in a search on the vault. Could you be more specific or provide a link so i can look it over and see what youre talking about?
Thanks
