If you've wished the weapons in your world had more visual variety and detail, so have I. This is a set of additional weapons parts to use with the NWN toolset to create your own items, either more historically accurate or more fanciful, with both details that stand up to close inspection and normal poly counts. They do NOT replace any standard game content and may freely mix and match with them, and will not conflict with other custom content numbered 10 or below in the 'Appearances' tab of the toolset. Currently includes complete large and tower shields and parts for: short sword, long sword, bastard sword, great sword, rapier, scimitar, katana, battle ax, great ax, mace, long bow, short bow, two-bladed sword, double-axe, and warhammer. Example weapons' ERFs, including Claymore (highland style great sword) and Wakizashi (katana's short sword twin) are included for import.
Releases v0.99d and later add a 'CEP friendly' file, avoiding the need for user customization to use this set with the CEP. Much of the contents of ShadowHawk Weapons Components v0.98e and ShadowHawk Outlaw Weapons v1.0.3 is included in CEP v1.0, however, newer versions of these sets will have more and improved content. THE CEP COMPANION VERSION OF THIS SET OMITS THE TEXTURES THAT ARE ALREADY IN CEP v1.0, AND THUS MUST BE USED WITH THE CEP, BUT MAKES FOR A MUCH SMALLER DOWNLOAD (1.9 MB).
IMPORTANT NOTE: This release lacks fourth color content for short sword, battle ax, great ax, and mace as yet. Also, All parts added since the previous v0.98e have temporary generic icons. The permanent icons will be posted as they're completed.
For additional DnD weapons types not in NWN, take a look at 'ShadowHawk Outlaw Weapons', an expansion of this set also available for download here on Neverwinter Vault.

Hey these weapons look awesome! Mebbe I won't use my NWN disc to scrape chewing gum off my shoe anymore. If anything I'd say these weapons look too good for the character models now. :P Anybody feel like completely redesigning the appearance of every race?
Great work shadowhawk!

Unless they've changed baseitems.2DA in a way I haven't noticed, yes.

Are you starting a new game, or working from a save?
Where is Shadowhawk???
Maybe he was kidnapped by aliens?
Or maybe he has found the seven cities of gold!
Or maybe he's just in the bathroom...
No but seriously... Dude, ye here? It's a really a pessimistic thought, but he did disapear when the Tsunami wave was raging... :-|

I have a little problem with this otherwise outstanding mod. Somewhere below you gave an advice to Bridgman on how to override existing models with yours - you stated that creating new item from a base one(Longsword for example), modifying its appearance and pasting tag and blueprint resref from the original item (NW_WSWLS001 for a longsword) should override original weapon. And so I create new item, change its appearence, use NW_WSWLS001 for tag and w_wswls001 for blueprint resref, then I copy w_wswls001.UTI to my override folder and rename it into nw_wswls001.UTI. However, longsword my char is wielding and those longswords merchants are selling use standart model; but the funniest part is, that nwtoolset clearly shows my custom-created longsword in weapons->standart tab instead of a standart one! Please advice!

I noticed that those weapon components were included in CEP 1.50.
I must say I can definetly understand why.
They are wonderful and to have them included in CEP must be seen as a evidence of how good Your work really is.
Keep up the good work. :)___________________________________________________________

Very nice work. I eagerly await the full completion of this set, so I can drop it into my CEP modules.

Hmmm... crossbows...
I wish I had as many hours to tinker as I do ideas to tinker with. If RL work ever lets up to the point were I have actual free time, weapons and armor will be the result.

Still using 'em, still lovin' 'em.
If you get time to do more in future Shadowhawk, what do you have planned?
The bows were great and highlight the fact that we still ain't got any realistic arbalests. :-/

This is the current and only version of my hak. It can be downloaded in full, or without the textures that are also included in the CEP via the "2da Patch" link.

where can I find the original ShadowHawk Weapons hak? It doesn't seem to be on here...
Posted by Devan_Crowe at 2004-07-28 21:50:21 Voted 10.00 on 07/28/04
This is an amzing addition to the NWN game. I have not found another weapons hak that I would use instead of this one. There just isn't a hak that can compare to the quality of this one.

It's like that, but just a bit more involved. Read Eligio's Custom Content Guide's section on weapons. You basically give the weapon part you want the number of an existing weapon part to have the new part replace it when you put your new part in a hak or in the override folder.

Thanks for the reply, Shadowhawk. However, I'm a noob and am not well versed in the art of modifying mods. Is it as simple as opening the hak in the utility and changing some variables?
