The new version of the Daggerdale Tileset. With a little help from CODI, Ilmater has made many drastic improvements to this tileset. Many issues have been fixed including shadows and pathing as well as the addition of some new tile groups grace this update. If you discover any problems or issues please report them to http://tracker.city-of-doors.com instead of posting them here or in email. Thanks! Main addons include: - Minimap icons - new features: ruins door, small hut, ruined tower and Ilmater's statue - some new tiles for more variety (I'll add more as it progresses) Thanks also to ReAver for his minimap icons which served me as an example, and of course all who downloaded the last version, enjoyed it and posted their comments on the vault. -CODI and Ilmater

For the Door "RuinDoor2" in the doortypes.2da missing Model-File TDD_UDoor_03.mdl in your Hak-File.
Sorry for my bad-english.

This is the one of the best tilesets ever released, and really pioneered and opened the door of possibilities in realism for NWN areas. Spectacular work!

Very Nice work. One suggestion, fix the backdrop. Like the forest tileset, the backdrop has no trees, just a flat plain. There is a fix for the forest, could this possibly be used for the swamp as well... _________________________ Omega Forge on the vault

Like all tilesets that are not reskins it doesn't substitute any of the original ones. _________________________ // Wolfsong

does this tileset substitute a normal NWN tileset or it enters as a new tileset so we can use both (the normal NWN tileset and this one)?

no Siran Dunmorgan, the toolset DOESNT "come with a swamp tileset".
granted, it is possible to create a fairly convincing swamp enviornment, the forest tileset is not a brand new swamp tileset. sorry its just not : )
No matter how you dress a standard bioware tileset, you get the same old feeling you have after spending 2 years staring at the same old tilesets. (like the many other quality tilesets out there) this is a breath of fresh air for people who want to create, original classy modules for poeple to download. This is great work Ilmater well done!

Jorune, you may not believe that NWN comes with a swamp tileset, but: using the Forest tileset with streams everywhere, a high fog density with dark gray or brown fog, and low lighting makes a very convincing swamp indeed.
Now, that said: the present work is absolutely marvelous. It makes me wish that the module series I'm currently working on required a swamp...
Maybe next time.

This is one of the best tilesets around. I prefer closed-edge maps, i.e. trees, cliffs, etc. so that's the only personal drawback keeping this otherwise fantastic hak a perfect 10. _________________________ NWN Shield Reskins Link New Small Shields Link

With a bit of research, it is possible to fix this to behave with desert doors; you need to update the doortype.2da and the .set file in the hak. I've done this and it seems to work fine, but I'm not planning to release it as
1) I don't have permission and
2) I don't want to support it :-)
I'll make a note to contact CODI and see if they want my version of the HAK.
As for edge tiles, I've been happily using the "Pit" tile around the edges of my swamp areas. If I could suggest any changes, it would be only to make it easier to see Pits in the toolset - they show up well in game in the minimap though. _________________________ Dreu Noctem Server Featuring arQon's EMS spell system and over 100 new spells!

I have played with this swamp and like it a lot. It only has two things I can see that need to be addressed. the first is a bug.
BUG: It destroys the doors and transitions for Desert. Temporary solution is to use area transition triggers instead of the doors built into the desert tileset.
the second is a request.
Trees or cliffs at the edge so, the swamp can be terminated in some more believable manner than running off into infinity. :)
Otherwise, a great tileset.

This thing is gorgeous.
Does anyone know is the "ruin" tile that is used here has been tranferred to a Forest or Rural tileset?

What is an adventure without a good swamp ? While most tilesets are reskins , this one is really unique and very small compared to other non-replacing tilesets
2 thumbs up !

This is a GREAT addition but could someone please make an add-on with the cliffs or even tree tiles, I like to close off my areas.

This however is still a killer tileset.
