Try to get the Unrar tool from Versiontracker, that should do the trick for you :)

iGetter allowed me to resume the cep download on my mac. However, I can't open the file now. StuffIt says it may be corrupted. Any help?

yknow...it would be REALLY nice if somebody took into consideration the people who USE DIAL UP!!!...with the kind of connections i get, plus how big this is, i actually calculated this out...it would take me 15 days of non stop downloading, which is a big problem because we only have 1 phone line!!! WE'RE TOO POOR FOR ANYTHING ELSE!!!! please someone just split this up into smaller sections? that would be really nice...so we can get a little bit at a time?? PLEASE?!?!

    Posted by Jukashi ( 194.125.xxx.xxx ) at 2004-06-06 15:58:00
Exactly the same problem with me, KubbeMan. But I think it's to do with how my time on the internet just crossed 5 hours when it cut off. It's happened to me twice, now. I have a mac, so this is the smallest version I can downlaod. Is there some way I could download half at a time, or some similar thing?

Posted by gruedragon at 2004-05-29 09:07:44    Voted 2.00 on 05/29/04
Nothing but an over-hyped glorified combo hak. The weapons are useless, and many of the added portraits and creatures are of dubious quality. You can find better on the Vault, at a lot smaller download size, if you just take the time to look.

I just spent all night downloading the @#$% thing and for some reason it cut out with two MB's left!! If someone knows a better way that's just as free please let me know.

I downloaded this a couple weeks ago and only just now got to test it. I seem to be missing the "cep2da.hak" file, and I can't DL the full 130mb now that I'm on dial up. Would anyone be willing to email me the file if it's not too big? Thanks.

    Posted by Sky_Stryker at 2004-05-09 18:52:00
Okay, well I've just finished downloading and installing everything, so I presume (from what it loks like) it's the update then. :-)

    Posted by Sky_Stryker at 2004-05-09 15:14:00
    Hi there,

1 question - Is this an update/upgarde to the first CEP installment, or is it the 1st one? (one I already have)

Please can someone answer my question, as I really need to know, so that I am not ending up over-writing the first one with a duplicate. (as this would just be rather silly)

    Thanks in advance! :-)

    Absolutely amazing work CEP team!
Just checked out the content therein and was blown away by the quantity and quality, its a great way to reward everyone with the hardwork put in by talented community members. This is tempting me to get back into building :-D. With bioware backing it, builders would be silly not to use it.
This may of been mentioned before, but a CEP tileset expansion would be awesomely cool as well.

A better way to avoid the problem of things not being rendered, or with the textures wrong, is to restart NWN entirely.

It happens when you re-log, or when you leave one server and log into another. If you come in fresh, it doesn't happen.

This is better than messing with Override as a general rule. Things in override will not cure the problem entirely, and they also apply to *all* servers you visit.

    Posted by Anonymous ( 24.11.xxx.xxx ) at 2004-04-28 15:26:00
the metallic clothing/missing head problem is cause by the stuff being in a hak and not in the override. nwn has an issue with accessing hak'd body/clothing attachments. put the stuff in override and you can reduce the times this occurs, though still there they can be corrected by removing the armour and putting it back on usually.

    To the CEP team,

I was wondering where we could submit bugs or issues with the CEP 1 hak?

Because, when I create a character using CEP added stuff (heads etc...) My game tends to make body parts, clothing or the whole creature for that matter to dissapear or become metalic look? (Not seeing the opponent gets my pc in a bad situation, especialy if I cant click it!) But, if I play with an already created character, I have no problem! I'm about to release my mod soon and I would like this to be fix. (My mod also uses other haks, but the problem happens with or without added haks!) :(

    Anyone else has this problem?

Ok... well.. call me an idiot....

I neglected to set the TLK file... for anyone else having this issue, under your custom content tab select CEP as your custrom TLK file... problem solved... DOH!

    Posted by Krystofer ( 67.164.xxx.xxx ) at 2004-04-17 21:35:00
having a weird issue... its annoying at best... All the custom placeables are listed just fine, with one weird oddity. The categories appear to be some kind of dialogue.... It doesn't seem to effect the content, but its quite annoying. Not sure if its something I did wrong, or if this thing is just bunked... I may just rebuild the dialogues myself... what a pain though. Excellent content btw, every single package I was planning on using was already included, plus much more content I was unaware of. Now if only I could find it all instead of reading about trolls. If anyone knows what i've done wrong, please, fill me in

CEP. Yes. Sounds great. Unfortunately, I'm on 56k. Great. Does anyone know of any sites which have broken the CEP up into seperate files for us 56kers? (ie 13 10 meg files)Overnight downloads aren't an option for me, as my server disconnects itself every two hours. More often if I'm playing an online game or downloading.

    Thanks.

As a builder, and one who has hacked some .haks myself, this standards-based compilation is priceless. It addresses so many issues of compatibility and quality and selection that it deserves a perfect score. Well done.

Ya know, I usually use this space for constructive criticism for the author... Since I have a couple of quetions, I thought I would check here first...

I can't believe what some of you are saying about this project!!!

    In response to Hawkdaslayer:
I love playing nwn. It must be one of my favorite things to do! So I am constantly downloading mod's and their required haks. So many builder's have run out of material with the original game, so people like me, create new content for builders to use. Well, From looking through the larger haks that I have downloaded to get a game to work, an incredible amount of content is repeated from hak-to-hak, Unless we come up with some kind of base (like CEP) People like me, and all of my friends have to constantly download the same material over, and over again!
Who really cares that you feel you could have done the same thing in less time? Did you? No. The fact is, any one of us that knows how to create complete lines of custom material could have made something like this. That's not the point. The point is, CEP users and builders will no longer have to download stuff that's in CEP! That's an awesome time saver! PLUS, as a content writer, I have far less worries as far as my haks 2da conflicting with others, as I have CEP and I am CEP compliant tose worries have dissappeared!

CEP TEAM, Hats off to you! Please ignore deconstructive criticism as everyone I talk to has CEP and loves CEP. Just keep in mind that some people even turn down free pizza! Thanks a million from a hard-working nwn fan!

It appears to be the same file. Click on the download link and compare the file name to be downloaded with the one on your hard drive.

Someone keeps hitting the update button on this thing which keeps it on the front page. The updates could be nothing more than updates to the page for their readme link.

Until the verison number changes from 1.00 don't bother downloading this thing again.

I gotta disagree with the naysayers! While there is much content in here that many will not use, the benefits of someone attempting to create a community standard Hak Pak far outweigh any dificiencies in the in included content. I've always created my own comilation HakPak's for use in my modules, now I'll use CEP as a base and include the other stuff I need myself. A big thanks to the CEP team for taking the time from their own personal lives to do this for the rest of us.

I've noticed the file has been updated a few times. Before I re-download, what has changed?
