Hak and music for A Song of Ice and Fire - The Night's Watch Module by Snowwolf. This is a big file, folks. If you have dial up, go back to my module page and pick the ASoIaF_lite hak file. I separated the music from this for a fast download (be sure to then download music thought to get teh complete intended experience).

Well, I have yet to play this mod (process of d/ling hak) but since I don't want to make anymore reference to the hak I'll go to say that the Books kick so much +blocked+ and I cannot wait for him to finish the 4th...if someone out there has the patience to try to build a mod, or series that can encompass more of the books...that would be awsome...as for now, I look forward to playing this mod

Yet another fan of GRRM that has to back of because of the extremely bloated hak file. I'm on 56k line and it would take me more to download the hak than to actually finish the module... Shame, I was really looking forward to playing it.

So far, an entertaining module. I'm playing it single player - be warned, you need a charisma of at least 10.
Otherwise, you will end up completely stumped early on (the persuade DC of 20, when my character has -1, was a show stopper! Finally cheated and increased my CHA)
Also had trouble finding a way crossing the water to the island that the Queenscrown(?) tower is on. That's where I'm at now, hopefully there won't be too many of these things where I'll get stumped because I'm lacking a single skill or have a low stat.

I downloaded the hack, and it gives me errors when I try to extract it, unfamiliar actions I think then the last error messege says No Files To Extract or something? Anyone had this problem?

Is it possible to get a hak without the music included? I play with the sound off anyway. Thanks.
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 1 that made this score of 10.

If I weren't such a fan of Martin and hadn't read such good things about this mod, the size of this hak would put me off immediately. I know the NWN music is pretty annoying after a while, but I'd rather have it than a hak pack that'll take me longer to download than it will for me to finish the game.

Even if I still had my cable modem, this bloated and unnecessary file would have caused my jaw to drop. As I am now on 56k, I'll take a pass on the morbidly obese hak-pak and delete the module I downloaded earlier. Shame on you for requiring this plus-sized hak.

I am having quite a lot of trouble with this file. My download is interrupted every time, or when I complete the download the final file is corrupted. I attempted to use GetRight(allows you to resume downloads) to obtain it even though I despise those sorts of programs, and I am redirected to a File not Found page instead. A real shame I was looking forward to playing this mod.

After downloading where am I supposed to put it? In the NWN/module folder? and what program is best to use with it, StuffIt?
Posted by pminton ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-10-22 10:20:00
@Sir Mohawk:
The bandwidth is NOT the problem. The problem is that everything I download from this site INVARIABLY gets interrupted, which makes large files ludicrously difficult to get.
I know I'm not the only one that has this problem, one can see comments about this on almost every page. I can only assume that there's some queue manager somewhere that kicks out people based on badly calculated time/bandwidth restrictions.
If anyone knows a way around this (not just for this file, it happens all the time), I'd love to hear about it...

Looking forward to playing this mod, but unfortunately the hakpak download always breaks at 92%
Could someone please list the files that should be included in this rar file?

Great things come in GREAT sizes. If its to large of a file then get a fast connection or find someplace that does.

I haven'tplayed this mod yet, I'm just starting to download the hak file. I just want to say that this mod better rule. I LOVE these books, and can't wait for the fourth to come out. My friend told me that since I had NWN that I ould catually PLAY this series, a certain part of it, and its true I guess. I am lookign forward to playign this mod, and praying that it kicks +blocked+.

Just set it on download when you go to bed and turn the screen off.
WARNING- If you do this make sure you open the start menu so that the screensaver doesn't interrupt the download.
Hope it helps!

Add another to the list of people who backed off due to the size of the hak pak. I'm on 56k modem and that file will take forever to load. Perhaps you can offer an alternative one without the music files?

Just curious, what's up with the North Westeros.gif file? Where should that go? It'd be helpful if you could mention it in the readme.
Thanks!

Woah! The size of this hack is almost prohibitive... infact apparently it is for some people. But due to my pasion for the books this module is based on I'm going to reserve A WHOLE DAY just to download the hack.
I really do think this is streatching the bounds of acceptability though, and you should definitely create a slimmed-down version - I'm sure most players that want to enjoy the spirit of the game would happily follow the guidelines on what kind of character to use without it having to be scripted in using a hack.
Unfortunately I'm totally unfamiliar with scripting etc. so I have no idea what it is that is taking up so much space, but whatever it is I really do think you should create an 'inferior' version, so that EVERYONE can enjoy your work without a big hassle.
I hope to be enjoying the game in the none-too-distant future,
Mat

I had really hoped to play this mod until I found the huge size hak pack. I dont have eough HDD space for downloading and playing this one. Do you have any plan for light version?
Posted by I Can See Your House From Here ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-07-13 16:40:00
Um, would it be possible for you to put the hak pack up for download without the music in it? I dont know anything about NWN scripting or module making or whatever, But I love the "a song of ice and fire" books, really grabbed my imagination ya know, however I'm on a modem dial up with a split line, so best d/l i get is 1k a second, um, just wondering if it's pos.
