This is the hak pack for Demon. Please place it in the /neverwinternights/nwn/hak/ directory. Note that the textures are in DDS format. Older video cards may have troubles with this. If you have an older video card, you can try this hakpack, which uses TGA textures.
Mikeyonker, about your question on the Dark Specter its the Ildriss model, which was going to be originaly for an Elemental Grue Hak I was making a few years back as one of my first contributions to NWN modding community, unfortunatly I only ever got the Hargrin and ildriss models completed (the Chargrin and Vardigg are unanimated), they never did get released and Adam aproached me and asked if he could use them which of course I agreed to (who wouldnt to a chance to get your models into Adam's work). The model is based on the old first edition monster manual 2's artwork and its 99% emitters (Learned alot about Emitters doing it I tell you), the only problem with the model is that being mostly transparent it can slow a machine down quite alot if its viewed so that it takes up alot of the screen or theres alot of them covering a large area of the screen. its still one of my more favourite creations, I only wish I was able to animate a better walk/run cycle for it.
Id also like to quickly apologise to Adam Miller if he ever see's this, yes this is the first time ive just downloaded Demon :( ive been lost in real life limbo for a long long time and only just starting to come back to NWN modding and been looking for good mod's to play to get teh creative juices flowing and yours does the trick nicely, should have played it ages back when you first released it. Creative block is hell :(.

Two things of note:
Peregrine- The "win" in winrar is not really meaningful any more. There are versions of winrar for linux, mac OS X, FreeBSD, and pocket PC, all right on their website. I use it in linux myself. Though, if you want to educate windows users for whom .rar files are exotic and mysterious about other compression options, go for it.
To the dialup users saying mod authors should try to use smaller hakpacks: You are the minority. I'd rather have the hak pack be twenty times as large than sacrifice gameplay, so I hope mod authors don't give in to the vocal minority.

Arg. It will take more than 7 hours to download hak so I guess I won't be finishing the series. *sniff* *sob* Bad net connection and time limits that comes with being in a remote area. Um... Adam, could you remake Demon without the use of a hak or other shmancy fancy files? I don't mind seeing the old tile sets or items or generic NPC's, I just want to finish the story. I've come so far not to give up hope. *unashamed begging*

What the hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This stupid thing won't download!!!!!! I HATE this website!!!! Put the god damn file on fileplanet where the download doesn't restart every time it's nearly finished!!!!!!! THIS SITE IS RUBBISH!!!! I TRIED TO DOWNLOAD IT 4 TIMES!!!! FIX IT!!!!!!!!!!
I really like the Dark Spectre creature you have in Demon. What is the source of this creature and can it be found on the vault? It looks like an elemental that you fashioned into an undead...tell me more, please...

lol, we can always count on adam to use the biggest possible hakpacks in his modules ;P
Okay all - I made a small tweak to the hak pack in order to better support Shifters later in the game. For non-Shifters, you won't notice the change at all.Adam Miller - author of Shadowlords, Dreamcatcher, and Demon campaigns.

Finally, it worked. Thanks again MokahTGS. Appreciate the help.

Thanks for the advice, I was having the same hassle with a couple of other mods and haks. Unfortunately this hak is still giving me the same message, so I'm gonna spend some more time downloading it again, I'll let you know how I go. Thanks again.

A sad thing though that pc wings other than dragon deciple still need a bypass file while hotu / nwn 1.6x already provides a variety of npc wings...

Could you also release a TGA version of this new hak pack? This is the best module I've ever played for NWN, and I'd like to be able to see as much of it as I can. Thank you.
I made an extremely tiny update to the hak pack. It supports a change to a cutscene at the end of the module that only a small number of people will see. Don't feel compelled to download the latest unless you have bandwidth to burn.Adam Miller - author of Shadowlords, Dreamcatcher, and Demon campaigns.

Has anyone else been able to get the TGA hakpack to work?
Posted by Mune ( 80.171.xxx.xxx ) at 2004-08-05 01:39:00
Sigil-Exterior TS is still my favourite, BUT:
poly-count ... is really high.
Maybe it would be okay to have tiles buildings that
have 800-1000 faces (WOK excluded),
but virtually poly-count here is much higher, due to many
mesh objects that overlap.
Just a suggestion, not meant as crits:
Try to match verts/edges of objects instead of having them
overlapping. The snap tool comes in very handy for this.
Any 3d-engine has to do additional clipping operations,
so if you keep geometry as non-overlapping as possible,
framerate will be better in game.
Keep up the good work :)

Best hak yet!

Favorite tileset is the "Sigil", but theres that problem with the space between corners of buildings, there hasn't been any models made 4 that, but otherwise this is my favorite hak so far:)

Any chance of releasing the most excellent air and other tilesets seperately for other module builders?
Posted by Mune ( 213.39.xxx.xxx ) at 2004-08-02 09:57:00
TOP NOTCH!
If you wanna make modules that really look Fantasy ...
this seems the right one to me.
Air tileset ... Floating isles ...
( here i miss the paintable terrain to make bigger isles in the sky )
Sigil, Exterior is simply the best tileset i've seen so far!
Very good textures, perfectly hued, quite hi-res ... WOW
Thank you for putting hundreds of hours into that tileset.
