This hak uses the robes system to create historical looking Dark Age/Early Medieval armour and is based on CODI's tunic robe. The hak contains CODI's original cloth tunic plus textures representing chainmail, studded leather, padded cloth, lamellar/splint mail, padded cloth and scale. The 2da is padded so that it will work with both the CEP and CODI's robe pack. Simply place this hak higher in the priorities list.
Like other robes, these robes have no effect on armour class, so it may look like chainmail, but it won't behave like chainmail unless you have a suitable chest underneath.
UPDATE - Version 3 now contains new models for the Large phenotype. Special thanks go to Bloodmonkey for their creation.

Brilliant armor! It looks very authentic (at least given the limitations of my computer's sparse collection of pixels) and is a great addition to any module.

What started in the CODI robes and continued into this has altered my overall game experience for the better permanently. Awesome work!
Hey Baldur, is there any chance you'll ever release the matching sleeve pieces pictured in the 'Balders Male Heads'hak? It would be a boon to the community methinks.
Peace,
Juba

Incredibly Awesome ! For the armor that has a quiver of arrows on the back. Cool looking for archers that have magic longbows of unlimited ammo.
Makes them look like they have real rapid shot! _________________________ Steve's Characters - please don't forget to vote on them if you play them.

Simply the best robes/hauberks whatever you may call it around on the vault. Two thumbs up!

This is awesome work. I played through some of Diablo, Lord of Terror, and found the Hauberks in it. It made the experience so much better. I hate, and I mean hate, standard Xena NWN armor.
Keep it up! :)

I can't seem to find the maille hauberk shown in the screenshot... There's a scale one, and two quilted ones, but no chain one. Does it only appear with one of the other haks that this one is based on?

I'm just going to join in the general reaction of praise and respect, but would like to also pose a question: Is making these elf- or dwarf-compatible any kind of priority?"Et Eärello Endorenna Utúlien" _________________________ The Power Almighty rests in this Lone Ring.

I noticed someone (you!) finally did some scale sleeves. Very nice, I'm waiting anxiously for your next release. I was wondering if you have any plans for scale skirts (like belt 13 and 14), but scale or something like it. There are a lot of armor designs from DnD source art that cannot be done due to lack of a reskin of existing bits.
Big, big thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for this hak.
In answer to Tuyen03 question - six months ago I also knew nothing about modelling, mdl files and plt's. To everyone out there who like me, looked at what all the talented people who contribute to the vault, had produced and feel inspired to have a go, I'd like to say, "Go for it". The best advice I can give is toget yourself a copy of gmax and the nwmax plugin, and spend time playing around with it.
There is still an enormous amount that I don't know about models and textures, but if you have a clear idea about what you want to produce, even an amature like me, can create something which people like.
Finally, I've been promising an update for a long time. There are some new textures which I haven't got round to releasing yet, as well as armour stand compatability and some matching sleeve textures. These will come .... eventually, but work and family tend to intervene. Thanks for being patient.

Congrats on the HoF recognition, this hak deserves it! I have replaced all my custom/unique light-to-medium armor in my module to use these hauberks. Good work!

Hi Balder!
I love your creations, and I'd like to create my own helms, armors, etc..
Do you know where I could find some tutorials about that, because I have absolutely no idea how to model... ;-)
thanks

Absolutely fantastic. *drooling*
Kudos to CODI for the amazing robe model, and to Balders for filling it out it with a wide range of stunning armor reskins. Bravo everyone.

In all seriousness, I'm sorry for any inconvenience the name change caused anyone. I'm planning to change the name of the hak back to 'hauberks' at the next update - and I promise that I will never change it again.
Cheers,
