Title  Dwarven Halls (Interiors and Exteriors)
Author  Pasilli
Submitted / Updated  11-03-2004 / 11-03-2004
Category  Tilesets
Expansions  Requires Both Expansions (SoU & HotU)
Description
This hak-pak is my new Dwarven Halls Tileset. It uses a re-textured version of some Bioware's standard tiles, expecially from the Ruins. It comes with 14 original loadscreens. I was asked for it from a friend of mine who needed it to realize something like Moria.

I've used 3Dmax to modify some Bioware's standard tiles; the result is quite nice, even if it surely is not perfect! The hak-pak includes the tga-files for the minimap and the 'edges', the 'area.ini' file, the 'loadscreens.2da' file and the 'doortype.2da'; all the texture files are in DDS format, but it includes the low-res tga-files too! The tga files are 128x128, to keep the size smaller.

NOTE: This hak do require NwN, SoU and HotU. The 2DA files are HotU compliant. The 'mod' file requires CEP 1.50 installed.

This Tileset has an interesting combination of features allowing for quite a wide scope of building possibilities. (I'm retexturing it at the moment to be more suited to my own needs, but as it stands it still has far more use than just Dwarven Halls).
I've always liked BioWare's Ruins Tileset and feel it's usefulness is often overlooked. The addition of Desert cliffs is welcome. Nice Work.
Pasilli's contributions to the Community are sadly missed.

NIZ:

Sorry, but I need some more information. Have you tried excluding area lights and shadows? What do it happen "in game"?

This set looks Great! While it lacks the big"wow"of JDA's Dw.Halls,it has alot of very useful tile variety.

Great job as always P!

However, I'm having a problem. When I go to paint tiles down, I have to zoom all the way to the map or everthing appears black, even tiles already painted.

I've tried using area lighting and that makes the tiles invisible on the map.

Anyone having these problems?

It's a beautiful tileset but unuseable at this point for me.

:(

Any suggestions?

Very nice set Pasilli! Rich textures really add to the enviornment (even if they do expand the hak). "Imagination is the one weapon in the war against reality." -Jules de Gaultier

Thank you! I'll include in the next update.

I'll upload them in a couple of days.

fkirenicus:
I'll try to fix them, but I've got very little time to work on that! My RL work is quite heavy, in these days, and for what's concerning NwN I'm working on other projects.

Pas,

I've fixed the set to fix the room doors for a combo I'm working on. I'll email you the set file.

Good Tile mix and Texture usage. Allot of work went into this. Will compliment the other Dwarven Hall set nicely and gives a very nice cavern option.

I did notice the door glitch on one tile. I believe this is just a set adjustment. I am going to play with it a little before adding it to a combo.
