Dynamic Djinni-kin - Looking to vary the looks of your djin? Alter heads, tails, wings, skin color, armor appearance etc. with these lovable guys & gals. 1001 uses (8/7/4 -- added females, all elf heads from CEP + one pony-tailed female noggin (pf)0_head044) since folks thought useful.) Added 1.64 patch appearance.2da 11/6/4
See readme for instructions, custom content notes, .2da info, example module. Uses standard NWN OC elf heads resized and 2 heads from the CEP. Alter appearance using the Appearance and Inventory tab in Edit of creature. Robes look very dicey on these guys, you are warned.
Courtesy of modeling advice of Maztica Project Team. Special thanks to Gimlor and Elorfin Endorphin for dynamic critter sagacity. And Eligio's NWNArmory, a boon unto the NW-nation.
Yeah, I wish there was a way -- just slap the air elemental pelvis onto the elf NPC in the toolset. But sadly there isn't and that frustration is what drove me to make this hak. I even ranted about this on a DA forum. Oh well.
If you want to add this hak to the CEP,
1. export the appearance.2da file from cepanatomy hak (in your hak directory) and add the genikin appearance.2da line in the readme file above to the end of the appearance.2da and save.
2. open the genikin hak (the one above on this page) and add the new appearance.2da, overwriting the old one, in the hak and save.
3. add the altered hak to your CEP module in the custom content tab of the Edit/ Module Properties. Make sure it is on top
Monferrat,
I really like this idea. Hey is there anyway we can do this without using an additional hakpak. I am using CEP however I just didn't want any additional hakpaks if I could help it.
Thanks,
Krun
Okey-doke -- updated the file today to add females & more heads for males (now both sexes have all CEP heads + 1 extra female head #44 with the glowing pigtail.) Heavy phenotypes will have to wait, mulling using the human model heads for those to get in more variety.
Thanks for the nice comments. Working some dynamic creatures elsewhere, will give a heads up when I add the new parts to this one.
Edit -- Anyone who hates the glowing pigtail -- you can remove it from the .mdl with a text editor by removing the nodes (e.g Mesh01a) that are suffixed with a lower-case "a" from the mdl file.
