Updated 7/15/03: This is an update to our Bovine Pak version 1.1 that was released in later 2002. There's nothing essentially different between the bovine pak 1.1 and 2.0, except that the file is much smaller and it is now 1.3 SoU compatible.
The hak should now be SoU compatible, with an appearance.2da padded to start the pak at #841. The animations were stripped off the individual models, and they now use the cow animations to save space (it has been reduced from 12MB to 5MB.) The new erf included in the zip works with the new file. The erfs include the following creatures, which are as close to 3rd edition as possible. There is some deviation from 3e in terms of AC and hitpoints, so adjust it to fit your needs.
The bovine models and textures include a Common Bison, Bison Antiquus, three Buffalos, two standard calves, one buffalo calf, a Holstein, 'Texas' Longhorn, two Angus cows, a 'Spanish' fighting bull, a Brahman bull, a Highland bull and a Rothe (underdark Cow).

I keep getting an error when I try to download this.
It says File does not exist, yet I see 612 downloads from this site. I have no trouble downloading any of the other Hak Paks.
Is Hak this still available, or has it been removed?
I hope it's still available, because I really would like these buffalo!!!

This file is way larger than it has to be. All the mdl's
carry the full set of animations in each one. In addition
some of them are set up that they never even refer to their
own animations because of the way the supermodel is set.
Stripping the animations out of each model and setting them
to use the c_a_ox as their supermodel roughly reduces the
model from 550K to 51K or about a 10 to 1 drop in file size
for each mdl file in this hak.

Great job!
Now all ya need it to combine it with the Equine Pack, the
Pet Pack (Dogs, Cats, Rats) and make a sheep/goat, swine,
poultry (chickens, ducks, geese, swans, turkey) and my fave
the Camelade Pack!(Dromedary and Bactrian Camel, Llama and
Alpaca!!)
