This is the final version of this hak. There are 12 skies included (4 New), aswell as a demo mod and a few other things. I strongly suggest you actually read the readme, and play the demo mod, as most of the questions are answered in that. *1.31 Compatible* Should be compatible with SoU, and HOTU when it comes out, as the visualeffects.2da is sufficiently padded. Script now uses the GetWeather() function for more dynamic skies.
*No 2da patch needed anymore* *Demo mod now included in the hak, soz bout that*
This thing look great (screencap) but I did not see any of that when I tried the demo module.

Very beautiful - in combination with a fitting tileset and placeables stunning.

Very nice !
Just one thing : you remove all SuperNaturalEffects on the PC ... it's better with
if( GetEffectSubType(eVis) == SUBTYPE_SUPERNATURAL && GetTag(GetEffectCreator(eVis)) == "Boulder")
instead of
if( GetEffectSubType(eVis) == SUBTYPE_SUPERNATURAL)
As the last comment is pretty old, I have some questions...
1st - is it still compatible with the current version 1.65?
2nd - I have a German version. Will it still work?
3rd - is this (by any chance) already in the CEP? If not - why not?
4th - I know Bioware had some news on their site about skyboxes. Are they officially supported now making this hack obsolete?

I think the problem you're having is that you arent pushing the fog distance out to 275 meters. its been a while since i made this hak, so things have changed quite a bit, but keep trying it should work____________________________________________________________

Seems there might be a conflict with the newest version of the HotU client (1.64.8062). I have tried the .hak in my own module, as well as tried the showcase module, both result in lovely 'fog' sky.
I've followed the instructions in the doc to the letter. The skies show up if configured manually in Area properties, but not automagically. I've also tried manually importing the 2da script, to no avail.
Is there something that hasn't been explained below, that I can try?

I've been trying to view ythe skies in the module provided but there are no skyboxes even when i move to the edge of the area, I've also tried applying them to my own module with the instructions provided with no luck. i can only get one skybox to work at a time ( can't get the skyboxes to correspond to weather changes or sunset/rise) and once they change to night they don't revert back to day, am i missing something in the area properties? anything else i might try?

I resolved my problem with this hak. I used it my SoU & HotU 1.62 and it dind't work: every time I moved the mouse arrow on the PC everything became white. So I remove the file visualeffect.2da as ARCmage suggested but, in that way, I lost hte sky effect...
I managed the problem changing the file visualeffect.2da cotained in the hak using the new visualeffect.2da file contained in NWN folder. It seems that with 1.61 and 1.62 patches such file dosn't work.
Now it works very well to me.
Bye
So I got a question.... if I install this in my module which contains the first 2 expansion packs and the CEP... will it overwrite anything? I suggest you talk with the CEP team and see if you can have these great skies added in with the next CEP!-Br0ker151

This is fantastic. I am planning on going through and adding the skyboxes to modules that I play from now on. I might as well do that since I will be going through all the mods anyway to change the fog clipping distance.

These look great even in HotU. I had to go into your demo module and manually add the skyboxes to each area but it was worth it.
I am now considering going through mods I play and first customizing them to use your skies.
Does anyone know - if I add a skybox to a mod, will a loaded game show the change, or does a new game need to start to get the new setting?
