City with Gutters is a non-replacing tileset that, basically, is Biowares City Exterior tileset with a few changes to the Building Terrain tiles. The sidewalks now slant down to almost street level. Curbs have been converted into V-shaped gutters. A trickle of water flows in the gutters. Wok files modified accordingly. Additional Features: Stellanis Alleys have been converted and included. Many tiles have been tweaked to be more low-level view friendly. A 1x2 group added: Street dividing wall with archway. Some static barrels & crates have been removed and a few weeds have been trimmed. A couple of additional building terrain tiles of my own making. One of the new buildings is based on a photograph of a very old European house on an old narrow street. Only half the front of the house was shown so I had to improvise the rest.
I think the gutters and sloping sidewalks give the cities a distinctive look and adds a bit more character as well. My main reason for doing this hak was a result of looking for images of old European streets on the web. What I found was narrow streets with no curbs and what might pass for a sidewalk was just a place to get out of the way while a cart passed by. Those sidewalks did, frequently, slope down to the street. So, I think that the changes I made make the city streets more like those old European ones. I've included a demo module for your convenience.
Fixed Problem with the Street Gateway. It can now be placed away from the edge.

Even just for the gutters alone, absolutely brilliant! A must-have addition!

Great hak!
Is there by any chance posssible to add a gate to the archway? would be a great addition to an otherwise already fantastic hak!

Brilliant idea, I definately want to use these tiles in my new tileset (I'll make sure to give you credit). However, one thing I have noticed is that one of the outside corners for the buildings (the tallest one) has something wrong with it. When using the eraser to flip through the corner tiles the toolset will crash when it gets to that one. Something about a sqrt of 0 if I remember correctly.
Hi RangerDave,
I love the idea, but for some reason, the only custom aspect of the hak that is working for me is the gutters. No gate, no European house. I was just wondering if this hak was CEP compatible, becuase when I checked your demo custom content list to see if I was missing anything, you dind't have CEP and I did in my mod. I thought that must be the problem, cause I couldn't think of anything else.
Yes, I know, the water just goes round & round right now. Drains are high on my list of things to do. I have one prototype in the works for a corner. I'll be working on that and others once I get back from the holidays.

I like your city enhancements. My only suggestion is to add some locations for the water to go. Your missing drains. Not if your still doing this in textpad it might be a bit much to do. You might want to widen some of the water ways a bit. Just so it's not so uniform. I like your changes!

The problem with the gateway arch turned out to be trivial, bad crossers in the .set file. I've uploaded a hak with the new .set file which appears to be available now.
Thanks for the comment, I hadn't noticed that problem as, by chance, I placed it on the edge in the demo. I'll check it out. It may be a couple of weeks as I'll be away over the holidays.
Thanks,
RangerDave

It's wonderful, but I'm having a problem with the arch. I can only get it to work when one side is at the edge of the map...
