You worship a foul goddess of spiders? Want to look appropriate for that foul denizen of the nether realms you're summoning for dinner? Then the Alienist robe is for you! Use it in your override for all modules, in a hak for just some! Works with the in-game conversation based robe-changer. If you have any problems please post them on our modeling boards.
As i know this is a rather out dated post on this hak, i only recently started playing NWN again and found this. Exquisite. However, something nags at me. Is there any possible way of removing the spider legs? I know they add to the imagery of the robe, but was hoping for a more practical, less drow oriented look. _________________________ Justice for the Living

I think this might have been completed pre CEP release, not sure, was quite a while ago now. Why it isnt part of it now I have no idea about :P.
Personaly I wouldnt mind seeing it in a future CEP update (if it hasnt as of writing this already been added). Looking at it now after about a year and a bit I see quite a few problems with it (uncaped meshs, sure saves polys but the saveing is so minor nowdays), although still one of my better texture jobs.
Got some good stuff coming up the pipeline hopefuly this year that Ill release eventualy.

Not entirely sure what the extra files are for, but shows up just fine, and provided the wearer doesn't swing their head side-to-side, nice. :) _________________________ Aspiring author; NWN builder and DM.

For some reason, I feel like laughing maniacally and bringing down a reign of terror upon the pitiful mortals inhabiting the realms.
Sorry if I wasn't clear...It does show up for me just fine. It just didn't show up where I expected at first when I was changing the 2da to also handle the DLA elven chain. They gave me a shorter explanation of the internal reference numbering so I now have a better grip on it all. Thanks!-Merentha

The number youd want is the first number "ID" this dictates where it appears in teh toolset. The thng is this number has to corrispond to the number in teh file name as well as the number of the model helper within the actualy .mdl file. my robe has ID 26, its file names all end in _026 and its internal referance name ends in _26 to change these around manualy is pretty time consumeing.
The 3rd column i believe sets the armor class value although this number has little use since it seems to be ignored ingame (why they included the column is odd, unless that was to make it compatable with the old system).
replaceing entrys in that column with **** wont remove the entry in teh toolset since the entry is based on the ID number and the number suffix of the robe files. removeing entrys (ie the entire line) will shunt every thing along and mess eveything up.
I still find it funny that my robe wont show up for you since the numbers where pre-worked out.
Well, I finally had to give up and leave it in the spot DLA put it in 2da. I can shift it around in the toolset by modifying the float in the 3rd(? the one that is called Armor something) column (does this do anything aside from dictate the order they appear in?)
I did at one point get it to semi work in 2da slot 027, but the textures didn't actually apply in game or toolset (I got a white outline of it in the toolset and a neato bronze shiny effect where the 'robe' should have showed up). I believe when I finally got it to show up in the toolset/game in spot 027 I had to edit the names of the files before putting them into the conglomerate hak (remember I have only tried moving the DLA entry). I also changed the 3rd column w/ **** on the unused slots to take away all the blank entries in the toolset.-Merentha

Odd if its numbering is 027 in the 2da the for teh DLA chain it should show up on in the toolset as 026. Did you have to rename any of the files when combineing 2da's? (although you shouldnt of had to since the two teams had worked out what numbers where being used by who before hand, or i assumed we had). What number do the robes .mdl files have on them?...
Weird, I've been trying to merge this and the DLA Elven Chainmail hak and the weirdest thing is I can't move where the Elven Chainmail shows up when I edit the parts 2da in CODI. I get both to show up in the toolset, but the DLA robe is now on 006 in the toolset but it's on line 27 in the 2da..what gives? I expected it to show on line 026 in the toolset, no?-Merentha
