These armor models are in fact robes using the new robes system in HotU. They are based on WotC artist Todd Lockwood's illustration of Elven Chainmail from ver 3.5 of the DMG . http://www.wizards.com/dnd/images/dmg35_gallery/DMG35_PG221_WEB.jpg The current hak includes robe models for female Humans/Half-elves and Elves. There are no male armor models contained in the hak currently. Male versions will be released later. Modeled by: Thrikreen Plt Texture by: NexusJnr Concept: Todd Lockwood

I've noticed that this hak seems to cooperate okay with CEP, it does not, however, cooperate with the CEP Companion 1.50, which is a shame as the CEP companion has many robes not accessible with CEP. Unfortunately I need the CEP companion due to the number of robes available and will have to part with Elven Chain as the needs for the hak pack with one robe type do not outweigh the needs for the hak pack with many. :)

Hey, sorry about the vote and vague explination as to why i voted the way I did. when I voted I failed to recognizze how many different pieces of this you had to resize to fit the other races. Now that I have less then 10 beers in me I recognize the hard work. Damn good job!
argg... where is the male model =( this thing is so cool but without a male model... what am I supposed to do -.- I hate having blank spaces in my haks... and having a suit of elven chain turn into like.. a hauberk or something is kinda lame

C'mon guys...what the hell is the hold up? Jeez, is it going to be a year before you get the male version out? I'm no modeler, but really, does it take this long? I'm sorry to keep pestering, but I'd really like to see this get done.

My fear is that this big dla project will go the way of dark sun :( they will work and work and work on it...till..like DSA they get bored...all shelve it and we will see nothing. :(

sigh...I don't think we'll ever see the male elven chain. It would have made this an epic release.

For some odd reason it does not show up as robe #7, but overwrites robe #1...

Anyone gotten this to work with CEP?

I think I am in heaven now, I really hope to see a male version soon

Nexus:
That was my post down below and I wasn't attempting to flame whatsoever. I think the DLA is an amazing group of people who I think are doing amazing things.
I think that I was out of hand by making that statement below when my own contribution has been so little but to merely play the game and work on some prcs. I can understand that somethings have to be cut in order to get DLA1 out the door and I'm really looking forward to that module.
What I was trying to say is that maybe a smaller dev would have finished this project off simply because they weren't working on a project the scope of DLA.
I think that this model is one of the most creative things I've seen done in crpgs, I've never seen someone do an elegent mail shirt justice before. When I noticed this on the christmas package I nearly fell out of my chair lol. I can only thank DLA for that :)
I hope that someone finishes this one day.

Take your time and do as you please DLA. I for one have admired your contributions and look forward with great anticipation to your first full release as do many others. Take your time... but hurry. lol

The sad truth of it is that we see these massive projects hoarding some of the best content creators out there. They go from people who normally interact with the community to almost closemouthed and it seems that their contributions diminish greatly also...
I know that everything on here is a hobby, but I mourn the loss of freelancers and small groups of creators. Large projects like DLA have added some nice small amounts of content but so far have lacked any major contributions, other smaller groups have put out great content on a consistant basis. NWN has been out for 3 years now. Thats quite some time.
I really appreciate everything that the Vault is and I think its amazing what the custom content community has done. But I still sort of sigh when I look at these large projects with unknown release dates and think of what could have been.
That said I'm sure once DLA 1 is released, it'll be a fun mod to play.

Any possibility of this happening?
Posted by Anonymous ( 68.14.xxx.xxx ) at 2004-04-26 16:21:00
Are we ever going to see a male version of this. It would really be a shame not to. I know everyone is busy over at DLA. However, it would be nice to get a "yes", or "no" definetly from you guys. That way those of us waiting with giddy anticipation can get on with our pathetic lives...Thanks a bunch. BTW, wonderful model.
