I have used this hak so many time throughout my time on NWN and despite new haks coming out all the time this one remains a staple for my modules. Not only that but it has inspired me to recreate most of the wonderful creatures in these haks that Hydromancer x did. His work inspired me greatly in the creation of the birds hak I created, and the other "realistic" creature haks I hope to someday come up with. Thank you Hydromancer for such good work.

I love this pack. Use it whenever I need different animals. _________________________ The road to Ravenloft is paved with good intentions.

Everything seemed ok, however, i noticed there arent any portraits for the slimes, probably other creatures too i just havent caught it yet. In fact, you cant even USE the slimes, it says their models are not available when you try to place them in your mod. Is there some other mod you need to download for this to work right?

I downloaded this pak with anticipation, only to find that it took up loads of space, and nothing new was available to me. I did install it into the module. Did you include the entire file in rar? Or is something missing?
Keeps timing out, when I try to download this :(Dream Warriors Leader of 24 years, Faith, Loyalty, Honor, Truth and Friendship always....... _________________________ Dream Well, Faith, Loyalty, Truth, Honor, Friendship always.....

Very nice! I enjoyed this hak pack and found it to be incredible useful. I love all the animals and the choices there are! Thanks for helping me flesh out my world.

I love your programs, all three of them, however, i have a couple of suggestions. I need an wendigo, and i have a crafting script, they used gems for ingots, which makes them stackable, however your ingot are under items med, which is not stakable. in you next update could you please change those two things, and also , i canot use any other animal hak at all, centuars, wendigo, etc, because it has to overide in order the RW animals 14, this causes me to lose all the animals i made with your program. and if i put in under rwa14 i can use that new animal hak. please help

Does any one have a sample module using this HAK pak that showcases each animal? It would be nice to have so a person could decide which animal they wanted to use. Sort of like Bioware's House of Cats (I think). Just curious....

where did you get the sheep and all that from?, i heard about a hak, but I could never find it.
Posted by Hydromancerx ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-09-03 18:50:00
Ok I took that out, and it fixed alot of problems I was having too. Thanks for pointing that out. :)

Where is this nwscript.nss ? I did not even realize i had put it in? It must be from one of the animal packs i did not create, just just combined to be in here.
Posted by Arainwen ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-09-03 15:35:00
Why do you include nwscript.nss in every version of this? Are you making changes to that file? If not please do not include it, it just causes problems as that is where alot of the base scripting functions are and when patches come out it is often changed. I spent a couple hors trying to find out why my module kept coming up with compile errors on almost every script when I updated to 1.30 and finally traced it to the inclusion of the 1.29 version of nwscript.nss in the version 1.2 of this hak. I removed the .nss from the 1.3 version I am using, please let me know if there are some sort of changes you made there do I can duplicate them elsewhere an leave that file alone. I hope I did not come across too harshly, I really like this hak and use alot of the animals. It has saved me alot of time I would have spent combining haks.
Thanks,
Arainwen

Err... Is there a non-SOU non-1.30 version somewhere? Neither SOU nor the patch have been released for my French version (thanks Bioware!).

Have you checked the appearences of them when making a new creature? just a thought
Posted by Akear ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-06-18 21:41:00
I must be ignorant. This PAK is making my mouth drool, but I cant seem to see any of the creatures. I add it to the Module properties but none of the creatures show up anywhere on the creatures list.
Am I stupid or just forgetting something?

inside the hak file should be all the models, textures and stuff ya need. Also search the vaul fo the authors. The Swine, Canine, Frogs, Bears, Panda and Felines are my own reskins by the way. So thats one contact done.
Posted by whistler ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-05-24 13:59:00
Hey Hydromancer-X, do you have a list of all the model sources lying around anywhere? (the .RAR contains only the hak and nothing else)
I'd like to modify some of these models and use them, but I have no idea how to contact the original authors.
Posted by Sily ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-05-08 07:52:00
happen to have any squirrel models?
Posted by mad_andrew ( ..xxx.xxx ) at 2003-05-05 12:15:00
.rar is a compressed file like .zip.
you need winzip to open .zip
you need winrar to open .rar
so go DL winrar, it compresses better anyway.
