Now, devils are generally mean. I mean, that goes without saying, right? They see you, they try to kill you. Osyluths, or Bone Devils, are different. They don't just want your soul, or want to kill you.. they hate your very existence. Osyluth are the most terrible and savage of the devils for they hate with a passion all that is not like themselves. So when they aren't stringing up mortals into rugs and nifty wall hangings they serve their masters as spies and assassins. Problems or issues? Please report them to http://tracker.city-of-doors.com

How could this have NOT hit greatest hits status well over a year ago? I am just guessing this was included in at least one of the CEP packages, as the server I am playing on uses this model quite painfully to mop the floor with my higher level characters.

Does anyone know how to get a githyanki PC in the Player Creator program?

Np, I just tend to have more time on my hands than most people, and i like to help people out with questions.
I used the Sou files like they were ... I should have known that they won't work that way.
Thanks, BigFootNZ, you have better "customer" support then most of the pros !

ok noticed another thing (wish these comments could be edited :P) the hak has a SOU and HOTU combined set of 2da's in it for appearance and portraits. So technicaly just stick the unmodified hak into your hak folder and use it dont worry about removeing or appending 2da's sicne all you will get in the toolset will be a few HotU monster entrys you wont be able to use, but the ozzy will still appear as well as the SOU entries.

DOH i think i know what your problem is :P
Did you remove the SOU at the beginning of the file SOUappearance.2da and SOUportrait.2da . Since if you didnt the engine will not view those 2 files as overrides sicne it wont recognise them with the SOU bit on the front :P.
So to recap make sure you have either the NWN or the SOU appearance and portrait file inside the hak file and also remove teh original portraits.2da thats inside the hak fil sicne im not sure what its doing in there. And remeber to remove teh NWN or SOU front part of thsoe files out of there file name, and the hak should work :P

Hmm ill download the zip and see what might be wrong, i didnt compile teh hak myself, although i trust PM alot... he might have made a mistake somewhere, although your the first to mention this problem.
Also on a general note... dont forget to give a vote :P if your registered, it makes me happy :P

Are you useing other monster Haks or haks that use the appearnce.2da as well?... since if you have 2 haks that both modify the appearance.2da, the top hak in the modules hak list will use the apppearance.2da while the next hak that uses the appearance.2da will be ignored. (im assuming thats how it works). Also rename or delete any appearance.2da files that are in your override directory since they would also conflict.
Also you mention you replaced the appearance.2da file in the hak with another one... you should use the one that came with the hak, im not sure how Papermonk packaged the hak but it should have only one appearance.2da with it. Since a single appearance.2da with SOU and HOTU entries included will work. Somehow the appearance.2da you used is missing the line with the ozyluths info in it.
if you want open up the appearance.2da file your useing with teh hak in notepad and do a search for the model name of teh osyluth mdl file uses (minus the file extension ie .mdl of course) and see if its in your .2da if its not then most likely your useing a borcked 2da or somehow the lines gone missing :P .
Well, I have only SoU installed, with patc 1.61, though. I followed the instructions, and replaced in the hak the appearences and portrait.2da's with their SoU version, but the creatures just don't appear in the toolset. (I imported the erf file also) The model files just don't show up as the portraits as well.
I don't know what am I missing.
Is it OK that for the 2da files to be at the end of the haks resource list ? Could this be the problem ?
I viewed the models with the NWN explorer, they are realy awesome.

LOVE THEM A LOT! I use your hak paks all the time. I have a quick suggestion/request... Could you guys make a Desmodu model? If you want to, email me and I will send you the pic. Thanks!
Heya CODI guys, great work here. I have one problem. I cannot get all the CODI demon/devil hakpacks to play nicely. When I open a module that has the Marilith and add say Gelugon, it messes up the Marilith by removing the model and replacing it with (for me, a kobald lmao). So are you guys planning on making a compilation hak that has all your released demons and devils? I'd love to see one :) I could always combine the demon and devil haks that here at the vault (CODI and others, like the great recently released Abashai), but I don't know the first thing about combining hakpacks. :/
If I'm getting this problem because I'm doing something wrong let me know please. Otherwise please fix the problem. I love your work and want to use it in a module :)

Looks good. I dunno if this is consistent with D&D rules, but they look like they need weapons. A big halberd made out of bones or something. They are great as is.

Your modelling skills are incredible. I really like this creature. Thank you modellers and CODI!
I'm not quite sure on the count, I'll check. But generally all our work is CEP compatabile. Which means it is higher than the BW standard (or about the BW standard for HOU) but still in the range of less than 1mhz computers, just not the real low side of that. So while you may have troubles on a 350-600 or so as long as your settings are appropriate you should be okay other than that. _________________________ Papermonk - Mighty, yet flamable
Wow! Beautiful work, CODI. What's the poly count on these critters? I can't imagine that your module will be able be played by the "run of the mill" NWN computers. _________________________ "To alcohol - the cause of and solution to all of life's problems." - Homer J. Simpson
