This is a demo module for the total krs_system which as of this version includes: -inventory system (posted on the vault as a separate equip/unequip script here) -enabled customizing inventory system -an add-on to DeathGate's horses, enabling Balders Hauberks, Kurai Ryu's hands, and other CEP stuff -an NPC random system (random armor, weapons, etc.) I just hope they don't spawn in naked again :) -NPC cavalry that you can mount or dismount (buggy as of this time) -equip/unequip VFX on the NPCs -True Open faced helms as per trooper9's implementation (original can be found here) -a camp system
Hope you people'd enjoy the demo. :)

p.s.includes a Demo mod that can be opened without CEP

A terribly buggy system, though the effort is plausible, and the models and textures superb. Something no one to date has managed to get right. Ripe for pillaging into the gamers' own personal haks. A must for every savvy player!
neekoso,
if u just want some of the armor pieces, u can open up the .hak file by opening it with "nwhak.exe" usu. found in ...\NeverwinterNights\NWN\utils . u can find the hauberk chests in "krs1_horses_add.hak" if u need more help or if I answered ur question incorrectly just post a comment here again or mail me.
krs1
Could I get a version of the hack that just the armor and clothing and nothing else? I tried just using it without the horse hack and it didn't work. Basicly I just want the armor and clothing models and nothing else. (Not that the other stuff wouldn't be great, but I'm sure the NWN engine makes it almost impossible to get it implemented).
I love the different armor pieces especially the hauberk chest pieces, shit with this and the common cloths I'll never use any of the ugly goofy ass Bioware shit again. Bravo, yo!

This looks promising. :D Keep up the good work! I bookmarked this page and can't wait for its final version. :D

I noticed a lot of bugs, too, but it's only beta 0.3. The barracks in the demo worked well enough to show off some of the amazing features of this system.
Great work!

You have some great ideas here, but the module is full of bugs. Its almost useless.
I figured out the answer to my question, and have now almost finished "cleaning" the DG hak. All in all, without their custom heads (some of their PLTs took 2 Mo each!), reducing the size of some of their textures (I prefer your horse texture), and using the CEP to its fullest, I am now very far from the initial 118 Mo uncompressed hakpack, which is a relief.
Hopefully, I will soon be able to start merging your scripting into my module.
Following up with my promise to look more closely at your work, I would like to give you some feedback and my first observations :
1/ Please do not let anyone (me included) discourage you, what you've undertaken is (going to be) an impressive amount of work, patience and I believe that the final result will be more than worth it.
2/ I would like to suggest to proceed step by step. Checking your hackpacks, I noticed that you had added alot of "goodies" into it.
While I do agree that the CEP armor, shield and weapon additions were a necessary "evil" (because Bioware just has no clue about what *medieval* fantasy looks like), I don't think that DOA loot system, Wayland hills, CCS loadscreens and skyboxes, etc were absolutely essential. You remain the ultimate judge of course.
Also, I noticed that there were unneeded (since unsupported) halfling parts and female human/elven parts (coming from TheFace's commoner's armor probably).
3/ Whilst NPCs equipping/unequipping armor/weapons in realistic way is an awesome feat, I think that here again we should proceed step by step.
The first thing that a player will notice in a module/PW that integrates your work will be what happens to their *own* equipment. In my opinion, achieving to get this right, without touching NPCs (and especially those dreaded x0_i0 scripts) would be a very successful first stage of your work. The NPC part would then be a much painless graft than if you tried to do it all at once (and you would keep a good part of your work totally independant of Bioware patches, which is a bonus too).
This being said, your work motivated me to include rideable horses in my module, which I had completely excluded before (given the size and the "little bang for the bucks" of the initial DG hakpack).
Here is what I intend to do :
1/ Remove all of the custom heads/armor/bodyparts of the DG hakpack, keeping only the standard Bioware ones. While I have nothing against nude parts, I believe this option should remain in the hands of the builder. They should not have included them in a rideable horse pack.
2/ Add Balder's heads/helms/armor from the CEP (like you did).
3/ Try to focus my scripting efforts (getting your work integrated to mine) exclusively on PCs.
I would need your assistance for one thing please : could you please explain me how you proceeded to "adapt" heads/armor/bodyparts to the DG hakpack, basically how to make a "pfv_" file out of a "pfe_" one ? My goal is to get the human thin phenotype and elven thin phenotype fully compatible with your work (and Balder's armor). As it is, only males seem to work, and I would need females too.
I am also willing to assist you in this task, with proper instructions. Could you please me a PM on the Bioware boards if you are interested (my handle is the same than on these boards, Nissa_Red) ? Thank you very much, and please have a nice day :)
Sorry about my comments, some of them were rather tacky and spiteful...
I would like to blame that I was drunk, but I was just misdraught with misconcepted rage at someone else... I'd like to help however, don't get me wrong :D
I'd love to help this off it's feat, I'm currently trying to discover a solution...
A suggested path would be to delay all the actions in OnAquire to a few seconds later, allowing the 'stripper' to do it's job... I recommend opening the Witches Wake module and get the script from the module load there... It has some good stripper scripts.
Actually, you must tinker abit with your OnEquip and OnAquireItem scripts... They all load WAY too fast, stacking on eachother and causing the crash for 'new' not naked PC's
How weird, looking at the given character and comparing it to an character I made through 'new', it seems the given character is an NPC, is that so? I guess that is why I can't use any other PC either, huh?
This is an amazing addition to a roleplaying world.
I found the task of "scripting" the interaction with all the equipment so daunting that I didn't even dare to touch it. Bravo for taking this on you, and even "bravo bis" if you manage to get a stable and working version out. In my little opinion, the script alone could very well be Hall of Fame material (one condition though would be that it could work without interfering with any Bioware scripts).
I can't promise you any help, but I will at least have an interest look at your contribution (and report bugs if I find any).
Thank you for your work so far, krs1, and a belated happy new year :)
EdgeIsMe, I am NOT Kris Parker (apparently a well regarded author writing about the Hip-Hop culture), and, unfortunately for me, have absolutely nothing to do with him... such a pity 'coz I thought krs1 was a unique name... must've been why krs_0ne was unavailable in yahoo.com (*_*)...
