Traveling the high seas can be a risky business. Youll need a good ship, one that is neither too small nor too big, fast yet maneuverable, comfortable yet affordable. The Caravel is all of those and more.
This hak pak will add two new tilegroups to the Rural, Rural winter and City Exterior tilesets (docked and floating versions). The tilegroups are Caravel-style ships and are 3x1 and 3x2 for the floating and docked versions respectively. Furthermore, several new placeables have been added to enhance the level of interaction with the ship. Finally, a small demo module is also included.

While the sail issue is a problem for some situations, the model itself is great, and the texturing adapts across tilesets.
What I'm giving you extra points for is the documentation. After 2 weeks of looking through hakpaks and their readme files, I feel qualified to say that yours is outstanding because you actually spell out (and correctly, too!) how to remove unnecessary models. As important as that information is, it is surprisingly hard to find on the vault.

Awesome work, as usual. Just a minor thing that would be a nice addition: adding variations with sails unfurled. This makes a lot more sense for having a ship out at sea sailing and such.

Hehe, I see the point about the furled up sails at dock - though Bioware's models are just as wrong in thaty respect, and yours look all the nicer.
But it's the technical aspects I love - wakes attention to detail etc. So, nearly full marks - just that sail furled up thing that niggles, and maybe you could've done a full custom texture set ;) :p

If some_ux contributions didn't exist, one would have to invent them. Essential to any good NWN module.

Beautiful! However, I agree with two of the previous posters: Docked ships should not be at full sail. I guess most people wouldn't notice something like that but it was the first thing these nautical eyes picked up on.

I really loved this hak when it came out last month, but
found it was incompatible with Schazzwozzer's Galleons.
There wasn't any mention on this page or in the readme
of what is new in the Feb 26 update - could it be that
Caravels and Galleons will play nice now? And will they
place nice with Turf Houses?
Once again, this is a truly beautiful piece of custom
content, and I look forward to using it a lot!
