For those who want to live on the bleeding edge, read the comments below regarding the Grim3.rar file!!!
The objective of this hak is to add as many spells and items from D&D and d20 sourcetexts as possible. Currently this pack is standing at 180+ spells and 14 new cleric domains.
The new version of this project is currently being hosted on google code while I am still developing it.
Includes a ready to go version of Halls of Advanced Training (HotU + SoU) for testing out Grimoire version 3. Includes a couple haks necessary for testing. 6/24 updated to remove Grim2Blueprints.hak and include Grim3Blueprints.hak.
v2.25a - creatures in the summon list that use CEP models have yet to be added. You will need to attach Grim2Cscripts.hak. The source once again must be compiled outside of the toolset again. The readme and file setup pages on the wiki still need to be updated yet. There are changes compared to the prior setup.
For those that want to test this, about 20 posts down are the instructions on how to get this going in your custom module.
If you order newest first, I originally had oldest post posts first and got mired in the old posts.
I miss read this line in the main description.
"6/17/09 Will be deleting most of the 2.25 reference info from this page as it is all out of date and will not be updated."
And I thought that meant that 2.25 was obsolete but you need both the 2.25 and 3. I opened the module and noted that grim2tgas and grim2items where still needed as custom content.
I think this is a great idea.
But I don't want to learn how to use HCR2 system just so I can then learn how this spell system works.
SSBSyrusGreycloak I suggest you post a link to the HCR2 system you are using in the discription above so that potential users have all they need to help you test this amazing undertaking.
I found a HCR2 under scripts but it looks like it is for 1.50 NWN. I use 1.69 NWN and I don't have a strong enough understanding of what changed between these versions to know what would happen if I started using this other then very bad things.
Good luck.
I really hope you do well with this. Once I learn more I will pop back to take a look and potentially test.
Just downloaded both Grim3.rar and Grim3halls.rar and it is fails to load.
Log file notes below.
[Tue Nov 10 17:47:44] Loading Module: The Halls of Advanced Training Deluxe - HotU+SoU Edition
Couldn't load the Hak Pak File "grim2tgas.hak"
So do I have to download the grim2 haks as well.
Let me know so I can test this.
Can't wait to test out this. Something I have been looking for to really add depth to NWN(well okay MORE depth)

Just downloaded the new haks and module..will test this up coming weekend. _________________________ Imtherealthing
Updated ver 3 testing files to include bugfixes through 6/24. Summons should now work okay. Some spells I've gotten reports for should be fixed (refer to issues list - link in resource list).
You will need to download both ver 3 rar files. I updated the module as well. Replace all files with their new counterparts. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

The file I just downloaded has it in there. Not sure what happened for you. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Looks like you forgot to add in the grim2items.hak again. YOu should just include all the haks in the Mod link. When you are done testing and have the fianl release...make a new page. _________________________ Imtherealthing
No, but I am posting an update with some bug fixes. You may need to wait a little bit while the Vault does its update thing. I did kill all the links to the old wiki as it is way out of date and I don't have the time to go edit it. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

This is a huge undertaking. If I wasn't already swamped with my own PW, I'd gladly offer to help. I'll let you know of any bugs I find in the updated version. This has always been an awesome addition to any PW.

grim2items.hak is still not in it for me even after I refreshed the page...maybe it will tek awhile from my side to see it. _________________________ Imtherealthing
I just downloaded the grim3.rar file and grim2items.hak is in it. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Again - version 3 is 'pre-alpha' stage. Version 3 is 1.69 compatible. I just got done compiling everything a couple days ago. Nothing has been tested, etc - see my comments below..... If you don't want to attempt testing code that hasn't been tried before, stick with 2.25 (but 2.25 is not 1.69 compatible).
I've added a wiki page on my google code project page with a list of what spells I've tested so far. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Still don't see the grim2items hak.. :(
Also what do you mean in your description above where you say: "6/16/09 For a stable release, use 2.25 (don't remember what patch it is updated to - not 1.69!!"
Are you saying this is not 1.69 compatible? _________________________ Imtherealthing
Okay Grim2Items.hak is now in the Grim3.rar file. I've also put the haks into the source repository on google code. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

My apologies. I forgot I had changed grim2items to an erf back for 2.25. I will fix and reupload. I just fixed a bug in an include file which affected every spell that had a reflex for half save anyway. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Would be nice if you provided a link to the haks required to run the module you uploaded. It says I am missing the grim2items Hak. It would be nice to have this work right out of the box. _________________________ Imtherealthing
I wouldn't bother scoring it yet. Ver 3 still needs a lot of work. Even standard spells need to be tested. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Before I get the 5 billion emails about weird stuff:
- Yes, I just finished getting every script to compile a couple days ago.
- Yes, I know not all the spells have their icons done yet (actually there are a ton that use the standard spell school icons).
- No, everything is not tested. Between school, wife, kids, and job, I just haven't had the time. I'm only thru lvl 1 sorcerer (that's it so far).
- I've tried to update everything to 3.5 edition.
- Yes, if you happen to look at the code, you will see weird comments about NWN1 & NWN2 specific info
So test away and leave bug reports at the link in the my previous comment. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Ok folks. For those who've been emailing me, here is the beginnings of version 3. There is a revamped underlying system I am using. Lots of updates, new spells etc. Do NOT try to use this with old characters.
To use:
1) Requires that the module is using HCR2!!!! Sorry that's just the way it is. You only need to be using the Core of HCR2 if you don't want the other subsystems.
2) Must set a module variable named OnModuleLoad1 (case sensitive) as a string with a value of gr_modsettingoml. That's it for variables unlike the old system. The rest are handled in mod_settings.2da (you'll have to pull it out of the hak and update it).
3) Use the included haks with Grim2Tgas, Grim2Blueprints and Grim2Items. You don't need the other ones.
4) Use Grimoire3.tlk as your custom tlk file. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Will we see this updated to the 1.69 patch...ever?...would be nice _________________________ Imtherealthing
I noticed an error in the spells.2da file. It has Warp_Wood (line 1785) listed as a 3rd levl mage (wiz/sorc) spell and 2nd level cleric spell when it should be (according to the wiki and the PHB) a second level druid spell. _________________________ I am willing to suspend my disbelief,

Geniousness abounds within the handiworks of this spell and caster equipment add-on array. A needed addition to any... anything! _________________________ @===============================================@
Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.
This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

Great hak. Would like to play in PW using this; are there any around?
Heh... had grabbed the .exe rather then the .rar file. Found the nss files in the .rar file. Of to take a gander. _________________________ I am willing to suspend my disbelief,

Is there any where to get the nss files so we can look at the actual scripts? _________________________ I am willing to suspend my disbelief,

I have updated the file setup and variable settings pages. Hopefully it makes sense! :)
I still need to create pages to describe the new summoning setup. It is now MUCH easier to customize what creatures you want to summon for each spell level, without even having to edit a script! _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

I have a few things left to tweak, so hopefully I'll have a fully working version up by the weekend. I've gone and broken the cleric domain enforcment, apparently. It's an easy fix, but I'll have to find a few minutes to get it straightened out. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak

Ok, most everything seems to be working, including the module installer bit. I used it on Darkness over Daggerford, and everything is running smoothly. While playing DoD, I found a bug in lightning bolt (surprised no one mentioned that one). It has been fixed. I would be uploading version 2.25a tonight, but I left an important file on my pc at work, so there would be some summons coming up as goofy little dwarves. As I said, there are changes to the Summon Creature script, but it seems to be working okay.
The gist of it is as follows:
Druids/Rangers: Creatures as in Summon Nature's Ally.
Clerics w/Animal domain and not having an alignment domain: as Druid/Ranger (ie Summon Nature's Ally).
Clerics w/Animal domain and having an alignment domain: 50/50 chance for having it act as Summon Nature's Ally or Summon Monster (alignment based)
Clerics without Animal domain: will summon a creature appropriate for their alignment from Summon Monster list (or as close as possible, 1st checking 1 step off, then 2, etc)
All other classes: Random choice from available creatures from Summon Monster list. _________________________ Syrus Greycloak
