Ever slain a whole army of monsters only to find the battlefield was as empty at the end as it was at the beginning?. Ever annihilated a camp of goblins with hellball, only to find there's no trace of them at the end?.
Well no more! - With the Hyper-Gore hak or override running under the bonnet bloody sprays of ichor up the wall stay fresh and bloody, giblets, torn off limbs remain lying in the gutters, and corpses clog the alleys... 'tis a beautiful sight for an axe murderer
Hak and overrides included in zip file. Compliant with all versions of NWN, including the CEP
I just want to say I've noticed some pros and cons with this hak.
Pro: As stated, you can finally look like you've won a battle with your enemy's corpses surrounding you, with I find great!
Sadly, here's the con: You can't bring people or enemies back to life with the resurrection spell as you can't select them! Really annoying in mods where you need to bring so and so back to continue your adventure...
Other than that I'll say one thing about the 'Hyper-Gore Revised Edition': I LOVE IT!
So, while I think that admittedly, a few knicks are still in the program, I still find it a great hak.

I love this so much, makes things so much bloodier! I ran this on Zombie Crisis : Part 1, a D20 mod, and it worked well. _________________________ Back in action, been out of the community for a while.

the mod works nice, but it craps my games far too often.
Missions that require to kill certain enemies do not acknowledge the mission if you do not destroy the bodies. And you cannot destroy a body once you have loaded a game _________________________ Pudge miss, care mid.

At long last, I remember downloading this and using it when I first got NWN before I started modding it and really getting into it. I lost it and couldn't remember what it was called and ever since I have been searching for this! thank you, my modules play waaaay better now thanks to this gem.
Seeing this, want to have it, read the readme....no worky with the PRC...damn. No gore for me :(

This is EXCELLENT! Im playing a module right now, BloodRight (really great) I just finished all the Alieund modules released up until now and the bodies stay in them (mostly) no blood though. Now that im playing bloodright with corpses that fade away just like in the OC it seemed really crappy. So I searched 'corpses' in the hak section of this site and got this hak as the result.
This is great! I cant imagine why the devs didnt simply impliment this in the first place, at least as a toggle option anyway. Well done!
Mike: Have you downloaded the most recent version of this, and reinstalled it again? (And overwritten any previous instances of overrides) - I resolved that issue wayyy back, and looking at the script file in notepad (having just d/l'd the available form) there is no reason the script would be doing that anymore.
Gah, the concept here is awesome, but no matter how many times I download and redownload this beauty, I still have the same problem with the experience being multiplied nearly a dozen times every time I manage to really, really massacre something. I'd hate to see what Hellball would do with this bug...
Assistance? I'd love to give a solid review and rating for this, but as of now it's just too buggy to be fair.
If I can get it working properly, I'll rate this and also give your Gold-half Dragon and Double-jointed legs pack the same attention. >>;; _________________________ Forgiveness is the true test of justice....
No, the script only replaces "standard" monsters. Creatures that have their own special death scripts will (for safety and ease) still use their standard death script to minimise the chance of it breaking the module.

Great mod! Fireballing enemies is even funner now. But I noticed that some creatures (usually with quest-related items) still fade. Is there any way to prevent this?

Short, simple, sweet, and he even fixed the gibbing bug. :) As mentioned there are some issues with different sizes like goblins seeming to spurt a bit much. Blood while lasting much longer still appears to disappear if you leave the area and return, while the bodies do remain, not sure if that's fixible or not. Obviously leaving these things lying around will lag your video card some more. But overall a nice little improvement for wading knee-deep in the dead.

From both myself and my chaotically evil warband, we salute you and this hack.
Gah. I accidently used an older buggy script and it was gibbing the target several times over in a loop if you gibbed them straight off thru massive damage which was making a massive amount of gibs, and also awarding you like 7 or 8 doses of XP.
I highly recommend you download the updated script. Sorry about that XD
Alright. I've totally overhauled this little thing from the ground up. basiclly it's a whole new set of code and stuff. And even *I'm* suprised how well it's turned out.
No known stability issues. Works on virtually all modules except ones using the HCR scripts (partial success provided corpse remains) and PRC (Bloodstains only last as long as the creature is alive).
I've even got it to keep the gibs lying on the floor, and monsters can be gibbed if they suffer massive damage, whereas before they were ungibbable and always left a corpse.
Corpses drop items correctly, and you can hack the corpses into pieces to leave permanent gibs too. Mmm, FUN!
The item drop problem is easily fixed, so I'll try sort that when I get a chance. The unexplained locking up though I havn't go a reasonable explanation for but I know it happens. I'll fiddle a few variables, see if that stops it, but as I point out, this isn't a particulary fine bit of coding it's a quick and dirty thing.

This is a great file, enhancing gameplay greatly.
However, it does make modules with the lootable corpse option (Like Nordock servers) loot-free. It causes monsters to drop only standard items, like skeleton knuckles, fire-beetle bellies etc. There is no chance of finding a special item on an enemy because you can't loot it.
Other than those few module types, it's a great idea and well done!
is a cool hack but i found that it can cause the game to lock for no reason and just stop
other than that it looks good but i had to take it out was causing to meney crashes look to see when this is fixed i think it,s a good touch as you say just battle my way thrue i dungeon then go back what happend did the dungeon maid show up or somthing My Honor is my life
The override firstly makes all creatures leave a corpse for 5 minutes before fading. The blood in turn lasts as long as the corpse does. However under this sytem a corpse cannot be "gibbed"
Blood spilled from a player character lasts for closer to 8 minutes since player's don't ever fade out and the timer on the blood I set to longer than the 5 minute duration I set the corpses to.
If a creature has a non-standard death script, then it'll revert to that creatures script instead of lasting for 5 minutes, if the creatures corpse is permanent in that event the blood fades after 8 minutes like player blood.
Old blood will often dissapear if too much is spilt (Maybe 10 creatures all bleeding at once, or a player keeps getting slashed up and healing during a long battle), and the blood also dissapears if you leave the screen/lose sight of the monster that spilled it.
There are a few /weird bugs:
- Sometimes blood spilled from your own player character will appear on the floor in the next area you enter because of how the VFX system works.
- When a gib effect is used it sprays out a huge shower of zero gravity bloody goop or gaseous mess that floats away. This itself looks rather cool when gibbing large groups of creatures, but highly unrealistic and rather weird. I may fix this some time.
- Theres quite a serious issue whereby items being held physically by a character, such as their weapons won't drop to the floor when they die, this may cause issues in some modules. (Ie. you must present someones weapon as proof your mission was a success.) This bug I intend to fix ASAP, it's just a simple script thing
- I have noticed unexplained slowdowns, and even crashes when using the current scripts. Like I said, this system is far from "safe", at least in it's present form, I want to write some more stable scripts first these are very sloppy. Right now it's a cheap gore booster hack.

LOL this is a neat feature, zombie fan or not.
Is the gore permanent, or does it eventually fade (like the standard "lootable corpse" checkbox), and if so can the decay time be adjusted?
