UPDATE: New Textures and New Wider Tiles, the set is still not 100% complete (but almost there now), added a TGA version for those having problems with the textures. Added Stairs up and down for both wide and narrow styles...

If your still working on this?
Can we either have a "Wide Captains Cabin" or preferably a "Wide Captains Cabin Stern" added please.
Using the Wide-Stern plus Walled Deck, doesn't really do it.
Otherwise a great set.

Hi Nexorcist!

I really enjoy your tileset, and thought that I would make some observations that I wrote down while playing with it in the toolset :

- the tile NEX01_B01_05.MDL has no ML1/ML2 nodes (a small bug that is easy to fix though)
- I think the general look of the tileset would look better if the tile nex01_z01_01 had a black "roof" (the tileset is meant to be an interior after all)

Some improvements I would like to see if you'd care to take them into account :

- Make the tiles nex01_s01_08, nex01_s01_02, nex01_s03_09, nex01_s03_10 and nex01_s01_11 "sleepable", so that even hard-working sailors can get a little rest now and then :)
- Add a bed to the captain's cabin
- Add a vista and a transparent window texture to the captain's cabin, a bit like on the model of what Gaoneng did for his interior and castle window tiles

Are you planning on updating this so that the "wide" ship tiles have ceilings?

Also, have you seen the new interior windows on the vault? They have portholes that would be ever so good in this set.

I'm very happy to see this tileset finally get some more enhancements & fixes. I was afraid it would be one of those unfinished masterpieces, especially when one of Nex's comments in 2005 said he was done updating! Anyway... This was a "must-have" even in it's infancy. Now it's better than ever, and easily deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame!

Hey Nex! I know what one thing is really needed for this tileset - placeble stairs. I think that ripping the stairs from the t-set and making a placeble would offer a lot more possibilities - at least from what I seem to find in my endeavors. ;)

Would have liked the ships to be twice as wide, and the wider ships are empty, but they still are a great addition.

Nexorcist, there is a mini-map problem with one of the wide tiles not showing up. It is the section split in half with a wall/doorway and a doorway at one end. I get a blank/white minimap section for that.

Also, the aft wide section is permanently bright and you cannot adjust the lightmap for it.

Thanks for the nice words and votes people, any other requests (dont even bother you...yes you..., you know who I mean.) but if anyone else wants anything adding just leave a request and I'll see what I can do.

Things to do already...

Kitchen, Docs Surgery, Engine Room for Airship...anything else?

Also, would you people be happier with the items as placeables or modelled onto the tiles, things like kitchenware etc?

Excellent work!

The Ship Interior tileset was a set that Really needed to be built (and as far as i know this is the only one of it's kind). Wonderfully designed with the proper look and *feel* of the inside of a sailing vessel.

I highly recommend it to anyone who is planning on using ships in their module.

Ok all sorted (fingers crossed).

Frayne...I'm gonna ask for you to be banned, stop following me around making work for me ;)

Icons are in there now, they were before but (doh) I had named them wrong. Stairs up and down now head in the right direction (sorry no doors on the stairs, they looked*bleep*e when they opened and clipped into the stairs) best to use a trigger like what I do.

Sorted a few lights out too, I think we are getting close to a final release, although someone will no doubt post a nice idea and off I will go messin again.

The engine room for the airships has been on my to-do list a while now, so perhaps that will make a nice final addition to the set.

If you have not done them already, Nex, map icons would be a nice addition. I can't stand the mini-map myself but if players must have it I'd rather it wasn't a load of white squares.

Just to let people know, you will have to remake your areas to get the door fix to work. Simply erase the tile or group and drop it back in, nothing has changed tile wise, just a simple set file change to sort those pesky doors out (my fault for not making the walls drop on the edges of the tiles, sorry) but this fix sorts it out without me having to mess with the tiles...

Keep an eye out for some extra tiles in the future, cant say when they will be finished for sure since my prim weapon pack in on a roll at the mo
