Following a severe OD on oriental movies of recent I felt inspired to play about a bit with some oriental custom content. So, in honour of Baby Cart and Lady Snowblood, here's a compilation of all the best stuff I could find on the vault- set up to all play nicely together, enjoy. The haks included here contain the following material. Tilesets- coulisfu's oriental rural3, oriental doors and interiors and loadscreens, together With john Hawkins' swamp(not especially oriental, but one of my fave tilesets) and placeables by both Charlie and Coulisfu. Clothes- hak contains forge's oriental weapons, coulisfu's oriental clothes, some kimonos and monk wear by Lisa, lisa's parasols, alpha male's samurai armour, CODI's Samurai armour, Yumi Chan's haka pants and some heads by Coulisfu. plus, of course- a big 'erf file for easy importing. Enjoy....
Version two now uploaded- now includes CEP compatibility. Plus a couple more heads from the CODI robes pack, some creatures (not going to tell you what- you'll have to download it!) and some oriental themed music (some of which I pinched from Kar). All it needs is a few portraits for the full oriental makeover- and they're so easy to make up I thought I'd leave it to you guys! Of course- there's still a big erf to import as well as a blank base mod with everything already set up. Cheers to all the originators of this custom stuff and... Enjoy.
Does this still work with CEP 2.3/2.4? Does anyone know?

Ummm... Could you include colifsu's other japanese kabuto aka helmet. The others look kinda funky. No offense meant. _________________________ ALL SHALL FALL IN GLORIOUS DEATH!!!!!

Hey, Jules... I'm looking for Oriental music and also for a collection of appropriate music for use with sailing (e.g., "water" style). Battle music would also be great. I'd also like a rendition of the traditional Japanese Samurai Song if you have it. Thanks. :)

Jules,
I've found a little but somewhat irritating bug. All male models seem to have permanent skin arm bands? Could you amend to that?
Thanks!

Hi,
Great work - just a couple of problems. When using the CEP version with CEP a couple of outfits namely the ninja, kimono and some samurai are missing parts, pelvis and shin parts I think. Any idea what is going on. Otherwise thanks for this great time saving hak.
Whenever I use the hacks (i used the module in the rar file) There isnt an option for a hakama...Maybe its just me... Please help if you can... Thanks :)Sharing the mind, body and soul of Shinkutsu.
1)open up the non-CEP clothes hak with NWHak (found in in the utilities folder of your NWN installation). Select all the heads(easy enough to spot) and export them (a command found in the resource pulldown) to a new folder. Each head has two files, one .mdl and one .plt, make sure there are both files for each head.
2)close the non-CEP clothes hak. Now open the CEP clothes hak and use resources "add" function to add the heads that you've got in your new folder. Save and you should now find that the heads from the non-CEP pack will overwrite the original CEP heads. Assuming that the Oriental clothes hak is higher up the list thanthe CEP haks.
any problems- post here...

Jules,
In the last post, I meant one for PC heads!

I didn't know about the max PC head # thing! What was bioware thinking? Oh well...
Keeping your current haks as they are, if could add a CEP oriental head hak that replaces some CEP heads (all the ones with helmets on!) would be great!

as far as I've gathered from the forum boards the CEP maxes out the allowable PC heads- I'm open to correction on this but as far as I can see PC heads are slots 1 thru 50, therefore the bioware standards & CEP hog the lot. I can put together a few notes on how to get the oriental heads to overwrite the CEP ones, if anyone wants to go down that route.

Jules,
I've had the chance to try most of your included stuff (CEP ones) and gave you a nice vote for it! :) The only thing that seems to be missing is for the player to be able to have the oriental heads at character creation? (In the CEP version that is!)
Did I miss something or do you intend to add them in a future update?
Thanks!

That's great, Jules!
Yeah, just like ADK I'll use this for most of my mods, even the non oriental ones.
Thanks for sharing! :)

At last... Jules is the only one who didn't give up giving the community a decent oriental pack that is CEP compatible.
From all of us builders, THANK YOU!!
