Description

This package contains a collection of files that are a proof of a revised devastating critical system, which is used by the World of Rain PW. It works by applying a Massive Critical: 60 Damage property to the weapon, if the wielder has the appropriate feat.

Note that this solution means -every- critical will be a 'devastating' critical, so you may wih to adjust the damage amount to better fit your world's needs.

Downsides:
-Hak-based solution
-Massive critical property is non-stacking (at least that I can see).
-Will likely require some integration to existing modules.
-Does not overwrite existing dev crit feats; hardcode was involved, so new ones had to be made... which means that characters with the old feats, must be de-leveled/re-leveled into the new ones.

Upsides:
-Easily customizeable to whatever damage amount you like.
-Relatively inexpensive use of module OnPlayerEquipItem and OnPlayerUnEquipItem events.
-Thoroughly documented (and I intend to support this).
-Clean, simple code.
-Small!

Comes with sample character who has dev crit in both longbow and greataxe, demo module, the hakpak and .tlk files, and thorough readme.

Still much better solution than banning the feat.

Yeah it should... *grimace* I'll add that to the pack and reupload the .zip.

An update: Working on approximating the massive critical properties that may already be on some items, and making it so that they are at least quasi-represented. I'm having a bit of trouble finding a way to do the 2d12 and 1d8 and such, the random ones, since the .2da isn't really set up for a random number like 61-72, for example...

Seriously though...This system works great. It's very useful for any PW. Makes balancing much easier, since you can change the amount of damage it does, fairly easily. A great choice for any PW.
