| Title | [rtc] v1.14 | | Author | rdx | | Submitted / Updated | 05-10-2005 / 07-05-2007 | | Category | Combos - Tilesets | | Expansions | Requires Both Expansions (SoU & HotU) | | Description | RTC is a tileset combo with the best vault content. For now, it includes 61 tilesets (enriched 18 BW tilesets and 43 new, total ~44000 files) with many addons, working doors, ~ 240 loadsreens, handy pallete and some other stuff. Please, see readme, there's not enough space to mention everything. I've checked every tileset for compatability, fixed serious bugs. There's also a description of what was done with each tileset, what haks (with versions & dates) were used. This combo is CEP compatible, and should be compatible with DC tiles, FK tiles, JXP Mountains etc. Ask in comments about compatability.
Use winrar (3.20) to uncompress archive. You can update from RTC v1.0 to v1.14 using the first and the second patches OR you can download full RTC 1.14 (rtc.rar + loadscreens.rar). Please, check readme for instructions.

| Fixed an issue whit, rtc tile set combo. There was a conflict between sigil int. and rtc_texture pack.
A sky.txi in rtc_texture pack, was trying to interact whit a sky.dds texture in sigil int., of course this makes the tolset crash, or you where not able to use the: window, main door, and stern bar, or the set crashes.
So, i used a null sky.txi, an empty txt, thath will override the rtc one, and all its ok now, just be shure to use this tileset above the rtc_main pack and rtc_texture.
Link: very soon

| BTW, I found a door that was turned sideways in the tpc40 tileset. The specific tile is number 347 in tpc40.set. It references tile "ttd01_l03_01". It is an easy fix. Rotate the orientation of its door CCW by 90deg.

| From what I've seen, CTP created a set that is independent of what is out on the vault. ( That is, it does not interfere with existing sets. )
RTC is compilation and/or repair of other sets found in the vault.
Rdx, am I correct? ( By the way, good work. )

| There's a simple way to make it a little more compatible with CEP 2.0 (and, I hope, with the early-outcoming 2.1).
Simple:
All you've in your module must be OVER the RTC hak, than CEP in the middle, and at the BOTTOM put RTC haks...why? simply making this way will not cause conflicts with CEP 2.0 placeables, but it means to sacrifice the RTC placeables....just try^^

| | It's great, one of the best. It's sad, that rdx has no time to update this. It contains some anoying bugs, but still it's impressive. |
Posted by Wicked Witch at 2007-05-18 14:50:32 | | rdx could you please update this and make it compatible with CEP2? Is this infected with a virus like mystified says? |

This rar should either be repaired or removed. Thought everyone would like to know since I'm not enjoying the virus myself at the moment. :/ |

| My umble opinion, is, and will always be, thath rtc is the moust outstanding tileset pack ever, whith my moust deep respect to ctp, theyr work, theyr losses and sacrifices, but, they will never compare to this work.

| Wonderful. RTC + CEP + PRC brings NWN to a whole new realm of possibilities. Having all the extra tilesets merged and working together in harmony saves me a LOT of cludgery in the official tilesets (making one set look like something altogether new). Brilliant work, to all involved. _________________________ -=[Pavella]=-

Posted by charlievale at 2006-08-25 20:58:52 | Hi
I seem to be having a confusing problem. Every time I try to build using I City Interior, when I test the module, on closing it crashes. I have tried everything i can think of regarding loading screen, differnt tile's within the tileset, and no go. Even the module with the download does the same thing. I went into the [rtc]_mainCEP erf and deleted the files starting with tin01 - in the excel sheet this is the prefix you used for the tileset. I once again had the standard bioware city interior and no crashing upon testing???? Any help would be appreciated as I would like to be able to use all the tilesets _________________________ Charlie's Pages | Fournoi Forum | Charlie's UI | Charlie's Item Modifier | Charlie's Item Appearance Changer

| The TNO tilesets aren't released yet
I'm gonna agree with DLA on that we should wait for their release, considering it'll be Plus Ten Awesome |

| rdx this IS the tileset package to have - its just missing one thing - the TNO tilesets.
You gotta add them! Please OH please!! _________________________ I am 9fires.In Hell I burn in flames. So cold inside the fires heals the pain. |

| Yaaay, I'm back here =P
But just a random request, can you add the largest of the ships, the Galleons I think they are, to the City Exterior set? And the updated Ship Interior? Hate to constantly ask for so much, but the ship interior now has a cannonry room, perfect for all of those piracy times |
Posted by charlievale at 2006-08-19 21:49:45 | Hi
Love the tilesets
Will you be making these compatable with CEP 2.0. I have started a new module with 2.0 beta and when I found these tilesets did a little happy dance, only problem - lots of conflicts with cep 2.0 Beta. Have decided to go backwards with CEP, as the new tilesets more than make up for loss of creature skins - but would be great if i could have both. If you could possibly send me in the right direction for fixing these conflicts myself, I may be able to.

| | Awesome job, though I seem to be having a .tlk problem, possibly a conflict with the latest CEP patch; doesn't appear to be serious, just things with dialog strings instead of names. |

| Posted by J.Anderson ( 24.51.xxx.xxx ) at 2006-06-06 20:00:08 | | Hi. I'm a Dev of Shadows of the Sword Coast. As someone who won't use the CEP because I consider it messy and disorganized, I think it says something about this compilation that I've decided to use it in our new PW project. I've been putting together haks for years, and this is a very thoughtfully laid out and easy to work with tileset hak. Highly recommended, it's really a shame that terrible works like CEP have become community standards and haks like this don't get the recognition they deserve. It's really baffling sometimes what Bioware chooses to support. |
