City Interior Tileset w / blank rooms. Created By: Veldin Base Models By: Bioware With Thanks To: Velmar for tile surgery and advice. Cathoris for tileset combining tutorials. Mr X. for tileset creation tutorial. Danmar for Modeling advice. Wayland for his great plugin for Gmax. Date Made: 11 / 06 / 2002
This pack was created so that people have more control over how their rooms look. I suggest you grab my Futons hak also so that you can have placeable beds that can be used by PC's or NPC's. It is also located on the NWN Vault. Also grab Danmar's Lok pack for a great placeable bar and Ice child has some great placeables for a bar also.
I agree with Rabiator on this one - we need perfectly BLANK rooms. Nothing on the floor or the walls. Why is this so difficult? I am no expert at all but someone should be able to do it!

This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 5 that made this score of 8.80.

a good beginning of making blank interiors, but I'd like to ask if someone can make blank corners in tavern-section, without those wall part
and
in the middle without the candles from above, cause there are only three and they don't give any light, so better taking the one from the placeable objects.
in the living room there are only few blank areas, for example no blank fire place.
the thing i need is this fire-place from the living room, integrated in the tavern room, so that i can make a fire place with a table near to it. or maybe the fire-place as an placeable object, so i can put it everywhere i want.
i really hope someone could make for us. you've all made such great stuff already and i don't want to bother you too much, but iam not able to make this on my own cause i don't even know what tools i need and where to get them. But if you could make i will bring them to a good use. ;)
Iam neither Modeler or Scripter, Iam just Builder..
hard way to make something i can tell ;)
ok there.
Thank you all and have a nice day.

P.S. Any German Scripters here who could help me too ?

Great hak.
I also recommend the Plazierbare Objekte hak. It has many great placeables to be combined with the blank rooms.

Khoros,
Just mailed you back with some info...
Rabiator,
Would be nice if life gave us all the things we want eh? :) Due to some nasty RL stuff I have had no time nor desire to finish this, however perhaps Danmar and I can work together to remove the rest of the +blocked+ from the sets and turn them into placeables too.

Sadly this is only doing half the stuff i had hoped for since the variable rooms still have some junk interior inside and the choices arent that flexible. I hope someone is doing a better interior set someday.

Thank god for you....This is something Bioware should
have done

Very nice... don't know how much action the bordello will
get, but it's a pretty cool room. :) Would love to see this
furthered, especially blank merchant/shopkeeper rooms.

Yes there are still fireplaces and some tile terrains
like the dressing screens. Only the bed areas were removed
and seeing as I still have not mastered removing stuff
without destroying the walkmesh :) I asked Velmar to remove
the beds and 3 segments from the inn.
I really would like to remove everything and just have a
totally blank tileset to work from. I agree that Bioware
should have just done this from the beginning and then
given us prefab rooms to pull out of the Placeables
Category in the toolset. Then we could just delete what we
did not want from the placeable room :)
Either way this should make it easier for people to do some
custom rooms.
Perhaps in the future when I figure the rest out I can go
and wipe all tiles clean and add them as additions.
Probably would not need to really wipe that many either.

Oh, thank you so much. No offense to Bioware, but I thought
this should have been in the original tileset being able to
have blank rooms.

Excellent! There will be much rejoicing. :D
More work, but now we won't have cookie cutter rooms...
plus new posibilities; abandoned buildings, anyone? :D

This is a godsend, you have no idea just how much b\+

Are there still fireplaces attached to the walls?

Great idea! This is a must-have for me. ;)

Hey Ming,
Yeah I totally agree. The default tilesets make it +blocked+
near impossible to make a good looking bar and seeing as
all the beds are not useable either they were removed.
Now I can use my futon hak with ease and Ice Childs and
Danmar's fantastic bar placeables.

Awesome!! Thank you! I need something like this. It's
hard to make alot of maps you want inside because you have
some table or something just sitting there. Thank you!
