"There are fouler things than orcs in the deep places of the world"
This one would qualify. An "old school" (not 3e) D & D aboleth for your terror, err, I mean pleasure. If you have a copy of "I1 - Dwellers of the Forbidden City" laying around somewhere, that's the inspiration for it.
Please give me feedback for the final version. Look at things like the animations, texture, whether it blows your computer up, fries your vid card, etc. Like any custom content, use at your own risk. It worked fine on my fairly average system, so no worries, eh.
Hey, I was wanting this creature. Thanks. :) Now, we just need some Ropers... Giant Slugs (the huge ones), Remorhaz, Ankheg, Carnivorous Apes, Jermalaine, and a few others and most classic modules will be easy to remake. :)
For Dwellers of Forbidden City we need some Tasloi and Tasloi riding a giant wasp. ;)
Hopefully I can get to some tweaks this week. Didn't really get much feedback from folks. Thanks to those that sent me e-mails and/or posted. So, I'll go through the anims one last time and upload a final version.

Good work on Lathspell's part. A bit of tweaking and it will be *GREAT*. Now, if we can only get him to make animations for the Anhkeg model someone uploaded. ^_~
Sure, I'm always open to requests. Whether I can actually fulfill those requests is another story. :-) But you can throw them my way and I'll see what I can do.

Lathspell,
Anytime! I've always enjoyed the content you've put out.. the Scrying fields were a great addition to the wizard's academy in my PW, and once my elven ranger got his hands on your ornate longbow, he insisted he'd never use anything else :-) This creepy bugger is SO going into the depths of our world! Again, as I'm sure you're freakishly busy.. any chance you'd take a few suggestions/requests? :-)

Very cool! I remember the old Dragon magazine "Ecology" article about these things...
kefrem: Is this about the thri-kreen? I can dig out those emotes Luna_C did for it and try and add them to it, but I don't really have the time to add the full pc set of animations at the moment. :-(
jules: The main bones for the body and all the tentacle bones should cast shadows. Run the mod in DM mode and run around the aboleth with a torch. You'll see the shadows. Oh and this one is a land version actually. If I ever do an underwater version it would definitely have animations more suited to that environment, like swimming instead of crawling along the ground.
That really is an impressively revolting creature! At the moment it doesn't cast a shadow- I'm guessing this is going to be fixed. The amount of cool underwater stuff around at the mo is great!

Looks good and disturbingly alien, as an aboleth should. Ought to go well with the underwater stuff in PotSC. Kudos. _________________________ The Power Almighty rests in this Lone Ring.
