Alright, for those who would like the first update, here it is. Rural City v2.0 New footsteps sounds so there is no cobble sound palette fixed so ramp is actually ramp instead of level range fixed the minimap to show correctly instead of cobble tiles (sorry about the slight color difference, but it took quite a while to change every single .tga file...) somewhat fixed the doors problems. they do work, it just says that the model is not available when you try to edit certain doors. When you play, they work perfect. And when you edit them, they work fine. just ignore the model doesn't exist. HIGH-RES .DDS files for the ground skin. This file is for the City/Rural w/Grass combo tileset. download the .zip file, extract, then open a hak editor, open up city/rural with grass combo tileset, add these files, and overwrite any other files. It works good. Enjoy!

You rock ! This is just what I needed to create a realistic looking module ;). _________________________ <Note: This is not a 'real' singnature - but a signature place-holder, in case, I should decide to add a real signature at some time in the future.. which may or may not make silly references to trite little sayings by infrequently quoted personages, or perhaps blithe attempts at keen insights into the nature of humanity and the world, or perhaps otherwise completely unnecessary blather that goes on and on talking about nothing in particular and doing rather annoying things like cutting off in mid-sent... ...particular reason whatso- As I was saying, a signature of this sort (should one in fact be decidedly adopted, ahem) include any or perhaps even all of these things, but then again, it may very well n- >

The couple of DDS textures included helps a long way to the original hak... though I do wonder why so many custom tga's are included for textures which are already in the bioware set, looks like I might sit down and customise it heavilly :/
This is a compilation of the old system into a single score. There were 1 that made this score of 10.

Velmar gave me a trick to have city water animation in this
hak :
1) open NwN bif using zoligato viewer
2) select data\aurora_tcn.bif
3) select tcn01_water.txi and extract it.
4) rename tcn01_water.txi as tcnj2_water01.txi
5) add tcnj2_water01.txi to your hak

I really love your job Kthoris. I've 3 of your tilesets and
they just are the one that bioware should have provide us
for the release ...
Just a small comment about the rural/city with grass
combo : did you notice that the city water is not
animated ? The rural water is animated but not the city
one ...

sorry guys, but I dont' check these comments as often as I
should. especially when I have built 14 different
tilesets, and have a guild running now, and a very very
long thread on the nwn.bioware boards. tough stuff, and
lots of requests and questions coming from all over the
place.
alright, I have a good idea, just keep watching for the new
versions of all of my tilesets. all the old ones, and
maybe even some new ones too. :)

Well, I really didn't want to upload it without first
speaking with Kthoris. However, I have been unable to
contact him, so I finally uploaded Rural City v2.0, just
now. Kthoris, I gave you full credit, but I put it under
my name. I just didn't feel like I should upload something
in someone elses name. Just seemed rather plagiaristic,
had I. Izzat a word? Hmph.
Ah well, there you go. :D

Grumblepunk,
Would be nice if you can upload the combined files. I am
not sure which "exact" version of the Rural/City/Forest
tileset this was for.
Thanks
Fizz

Okay, just finished it all up and it works perfectly. This
tileset is incredibly well done. The attention to detail
is just amazing. Thank you, Kthoris!

Jake:
Did you manually add the contents of the entire zip to the
old city_rural_grass_combo.hak using the hak editor? If
not, that is your problem. I believe these files are
simply an upgrade to the original. The pain in the arse is
adding this entire folder, one file at a time. I am on
micnj1_q02, at the moment. One hour down, two to go. :D
Kthoris: If I get this done correctly and it works as it
should, do you mind if I try to upload it to save everyone
else a bit of time? I figure if I combine it, there's no
reason everyone else needs to, as well.

For some reason hak packs that contain .dds files give me
problems. I can load the hackpack but I have no textures
on the terain. Can some one please explain why and how I
can fix this problem.

Cathoris,
Does this upgrade address any of the elevation issues that
the existing set has? That's about the only beef I have
with it actually. Also, is there definitely no impact on
existing areas using the set? I use this tileset
extensively!
