It's typical. It's because patches overwrote and fixed problems prior. _________________________ CEP download for dial-up users.

Thanks for the help.
I did that, and I avoided the "sentences for item descriptions" issue, but when I check for conflicts, I get thousands of them (okay, maybe not thousands, but lots ... a hundred or more). Is this to be expected? Should I just ignore it?
Trazik, check my sig link... it will tell you how to create a new module. There is a copy of the players guide there as well.
Brambletoes. The files on my page need to uncompressed. Select part001 of each individual file and extract the content. You will need WinRAR or another RAR utility to do this. There is a link to WinRAR on my page. Don't place all the part00X files in the hak folder, only the hak files. You can contact me on the Bioware boards in the CEP forum under the user Doorman1970 or by email in my sig link page (at the bottom). _________________________ CEP download for dial-up users.

I seem to be having an enormous problem creating a blank CEP-containing module. For some unknown reason I have thousands upon thousands of conflicting resources. Why?
I have added the various CEP haks, I believe they are in the correct order. Where can I find a blank CEP-ready module without having to download the whole darned thing?
Thanks in advance,
Trazik

OK, I have downloaded the CEP from the dialup users page. Every single file has been downloaded and put in the hak folder as stated in the instructions. I also put in the three files for the Hordes of the Underdark version. Everything seems to be in place but I am still getting the same message. It's not telling me which hak files are missing, just that some are missing. ???????
Brambletoes, this is the patch version of the CEP not the full install version of the CEP. If you haven't had a previous version on your computer you will need to utilize the full install. _________________________ CEP download for dial-up users.

I have downloaded the Mac version of the CEP 152 update. When I try to play a new module I get the message "missing required hak paks." The installation instructions say to place several haks into the hak folder. The following haks never showed up: cepanatomy, baseitem, creature, place, portrait, and texture. I have gone through the preferences of UnrarX program and nothing works. I am obviously doing something wrong. Suggestions?

Tell you what I'd love to see on cep. A hak that allows you to weapon focus in the cep specfic weapons. Such as being able to weapon focus in nunchuku or with a maul. That would make my characters whom use unquie weapons like that acually able to deal out the same amount of damage as someone whom can focus in a nwn only weapon. O well one can dream.

Balista has a point in the matter. The manual install is nothing more than copying a few files and pasting them into your hak folder or your tlk folder. It isn't any more complicated than this. The readme explains things very well if you follow the instructions from #2 onward. _________________________ CEP download for dial-up users.

Stop complaining these people are doing this pro bono. It takes a while to make a install file. It is coded you know there's no magic to it. Waiting a couple extra days or figuring out how to read a README is your choice. The manual install is simple enough as is, and plus a good learning experience is always a good thing. Anyway have a good one :)

I hear ya other three anonymous's I think exe was way more easy and better :) I cant wait till the exe, that way I wont mess up my files this time :)

man you guys are useless - manual installs are so damn easy - who needs the .exe - just makes more work for those already doing enough by just making this pack for us all to enjoy.

Me 2 i'm with the other 2 anonymous it would be better to have a cep .exe I wont beg, just w8
There is supposed to be a release for .exe by the end of the month. Keep an eye out.
Just curious, what problems are you having? Did you "unzip" this file with WinRAR or some other .rar compatible program? When unzipped did you follow the readme.txt included (it says you should have got more files than it gave you but that is just a mixup, just follow the instructions from number 2 on). If you did these above two things then you should be completely up and running... _________________________ CEP download for dial-up users.

Well Rob, just to let you know that despite someone below saying that "you know shit about shit" I think you deserve a thankyou for putting your time into trying to help someone for no gain to yourself at all. Good on you and keep up the good work. i am DLing the patch now on dial up while reading this, i sure hope if i have problems that i am lucky enough to find someone kind enough to give their time like you did. (really appaled at the ungratefullness of some)
None of your files are messed up, the readme got mixed up. The patch wasn't supposed to have any of those extra files. Just skip that part and follow the instructions on using the files for the version of the game you have. _________________________ CEP download for dial-up users.
Patches are messed up. WINRAR version is missing first list of haks listed in readme, winzip version haks are not in folders as specified. I'm now downloading the whole thing over as all my files are screwed up. Cheers
