This little hakpak was created per Giantkin's request, and removes experience-related text in the character sheet.
Note: this is a client-side solution, and if the builder (esp. those in PWs) is serious about it, they should also complement this with server-sided scripting solutions.
Hiya. The lead you gave me - UOA's Ambrosia - was one that has server-side, scripting solution implemented. Ambrosia was a very unique NwN experience in itself though.
"To be serious about it", you'll want to start by finding out every single place that XP is given out, and replace them by a function that
(i) adds the accumulated XP into a (campaign) variable, and
(ii) compares if the variable now crosses some level-up threshold.
Some "serious" scripters would be of help to this serious undertaking... =P
Awesome! u didnt even mention this was done! (or did i miss it?) i have been...well RL ;0
cant wait to look at this. did my link help ya at all to get this goin?

I think this hak is useful. It may not be useful to everyone and there are probably some scripts and such that could be bundled with it to show how to use it. So, I will give it a good rating still. Thanks. :)

Hey, this is nice. Not necessary but nice small addition to one of my own campaigns that I run.
One of them has no levelling, ie. characters start at levels 5-7 and do not progress from there. This leaved the exprience meter useless, so it will be much nicer now that it can be disabled. Thanks. :p

Gee Carlos, if you are so sore about it then don't use hak. If there is a PW out there wanting to use it, then this hak clearly has use for some people. _________________________ Shayan's Subrace Engine (The most simplest way to create your own subraces!): Download it here

How about maaking a hak where if a weapon has any prop on it besides negative ones its level is set to 61 and ups its cost to 999999999 gold?

Hiya. Sometime this weekend, I'll likely be sending a long-overdue update to the Minimap-by-Size. The update will comprise more comprehensive sizes (instead of odds, they'll be the off-squares, like 8x9 & 10x11), and with "Automap unavailable" instead of the crummy white space (that could be from a variety of reasons other than design). The kinks are worked out, just need the grunt work in.

Sorry about the double postings. I need to remember not to use the BACK button. :)
I liked the Minimap hak to erase it by size you did too. :) Handy.

Well, that was what I thought the reason might be. I have worked with some people implementing almost no-level systems with skill advancement instead... so, I was thinking along the lines you had there.
I'm up for any change. Change is good. :)

A very handy little gui mod for those that need it.

This is a great addition for us. As Vaei said, we only use NWN XP to get the character to the next level, and as such, the XP shown on the character screen is superfluous and can even be confusing to the character.

My god... you're right... we should eliminate property displays and feedback about damage and whatnot. Great idea :)

Dont touc this with a 10 foot pole.

This in my opinion is a useless hak made for only the biggest and the most foul smelling of the up tight admins of nwn, How does wanting to see how much exp you have till you level up make you a munchkin? that is like saying wanting to see the properties on your items or seeing how much damage your weapon did to that monster is being a munchkin.
I have to say, as a promoter of role-playing myself, I think this is a brilliant idea. I know players will feel naked... like there is an unfillable void in their character, but they will get used to it :)
BTW: What do you mean by 'client-side' solution? _________________________ Shayan's Subrace Engine (The most simplest way to create your own subraces!): Download it here

Some persistant worlds admins believe that the players should be relieved of their (obsessive) obligations towards counting each deed for its "XP gain" - instead, their energies should be focussed on creative roleplaying.
To that end, this little set gives them the freedom to experiment what works, and what doesn't work so well.
I imagine this would also be useful to folks who devises progression schemes which are not level-related.
(If you're curious why *I* am doing it -I want to do it to show it's doable =) )
Salut, Vaéi.

Explain exactly what this is used for. I'm curious. I don't understand why this was needed. I am sure it was. I'd just like to know what for. I might even be interested in it depending on your answers.
