This is basiclly a Gold Half-Dragon, it's design is based loosely on the old "Dungeons and Dragons: Chainmail" minature. Which as you can see in the screenshot, is quite alien from NWN's "human with a pair of wings and horns" depiction.
However, I do say loosely; A proper half dragon should have a shorter snout, and elven like ears, really it was made for my own use and is basiclly a 3D rendition of my own Avatar I use on BBS and DeviantArt
All the same he isn't out of place in an FR setting and is a very fun character to play.
Zip contains regular hakpack, override, and a CEP compatible hakpack
I cannot make this work. I would so love to play as a half dragon but following the instructions only causes the game either to CTD or my character is invisible.
This is what I do:
I copy the contents of the override folder in your half dragon pack and place them into my override folder located in my documents.
Next I open my character .bic file using Leto and then turn on advanced editor.
I then search for Appearance, and cannot find it, so I am guessing that Appearance_Type is the one I am looking for and change it into 765.
I change tail and wing to the numbers you described in your Read Me.
After setting the new numbers I refresh data and save. Now when I try using the character, he is either invisible or the game instantly CTD. Please tell me what I did wrong.
I have always wanted to play Half dragon in NWN2 and now there is a chance I can.

*sigh* Ok, I suppose I should mention I'm not very bright. Turns out all of the override folder files were put in NWN/Override/Override... which explains two problems. On a completely unrelated note, I love your half-dragon model. He is adorable, and you are a fine, fine modeler (as if you did not suspect as such). The idea of some NWN2 versions (along with the guardinal) is simply drool worthy. Thanks again.

Ok, so I'm new to applying custom models into modules and all that, but I'd like to think I have some grasp of the process. I installed the overrides into the override folder (I seem to have an override folder within my override folder, is that normal?), and the hak into the hak folder. As an added measure, I editted the module to include the .hak file as well. I just tested in the toolset, and I'm allowed to change an NPc's appearance to the HalfDragon Gold. And yet, my character never seems to be able to change. I tried SetAppearance 765 and it said Failure. I tried SetAppearance 766 and it worked (I'd added the guardinal .hak to check things out). I also (originally) tried to alter the character in Leto, both in the save file and in the localvault. I can get the Appearance to stay at 765 even when I reload the character data (therefore it must be taking the changes at least), but in game they still don't show up. Hopefully someone can help me out with this, since I am real excited about a bishy-half-gold-dragon boy. I even bought Races of the Dragon for research material.
I suppose I should mention I'm playing on an editted version of HotU chapter one for this character. I'm going to experiment with getting rid of one or the other of the override/.hak files, and also trying some other modules.

Ettanin: He =p - Albeit a little bishounen looking. You can use it on any server that has the hakpack installed, trying to use it as an override on a server that does not support it will probably make you crash on logging in.

I got a question: Is that one a 'he' or a 'she'?
Concerning usability online; It is usable online on servers that use that hakpack too.

does this work online?

I downloaded this well over two months ago and have just now remembered to comment on it. This model is excellent! The animation is even more breathtaking when using a "Jump" spell that you can download from a custom spell file somewhere (don't remember where I found it...). When I saw my character in this form standing next to the winged-Deekin model in HotU, I fell to the floor laughing! The file deserves no less than a ten.
Problem: I'm trying to add something to the model, but first have to convert the file from a mdl to an ASCII, and am using nwnmdlcomp to do so. My attempts at this fail, due to a "not a binary file" error. I tried another compiler called "mdl2ascii" and got the same error. Help a desperate lizard?

I downloaded this a month ago and have finally gotten around to commenting. This model is awesome (when I saw my character in this form standing next to the winged-Deekin model in HotU, I fell to the floor laughing), and I used another hakpak to download a "jump" spell that I regularly use when playing as a half-dragon. This file definitely deserves a ten.
Dilemma here: I want to add something to the model but can't seem to convert it from a mdl to an ASCII using nwnmdlcomp due to a "not a binary file" error. Some way to get around this...?

I love the hak and I do have to say it's perfect for my own personal campaigns. If I should come up with any tweaks to make it even more accurately draconic. I will be sure to share it with you. Please do the same for me. It's always nice to meet another individual of the draconic persuasion. _________________________ "Do not interfere in the affairs of dragons for you are crunchy and good with ketchup"

I like your HAK packs very much, Mr Ryuujin. But I have 2 questions.
1. The list doesn't appear when I talk to the "mini dragon". I can't feed him or play with him or do sth. similar. What's the problem (I'm playing with the Simp.Chinese ver.)?
2. I don't know how to write scripts. Can you please post the flying script here? Or make it into a HAK?

Perhaps you could retexture the gold half-dragon's tail and feet to update your 'Doubled jointed' leg models & 'Tail pack' haks with some new reptilian, draconic, and/or amphibic variants? :) _________________________ Nothing's better than fine cold magic from an Orc!
