Hi, I can't get it working over here. I followed the instructions but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm absolutely positive that I'm missing something, but I don't know what. Do I have to enable this hack somewhere? Or just copy to the hak folder?
Ascadia,
Will you be adding the new armor pieces from WCoC to the update? It might be a good idea, especially the knight's jousting armour.
Thanks,
Juba

I thought this hak was pretty neat, lots of good clothes I can use and all that. Although there is one problem im a bit confused about. The new colours which came with the a NWN patch (not sure which one) are missing for leather and cloth, any idea on how to fix this?

Ascadia: Wonderful compilation. I'm looking forward to the new version/update. 'Any idea about you time frame?
StormbringGT (January 'O6) brought up the idea of slightly modifying this hak to change some of the torso ACs. I'm interested in this. Can anyone point me in the direction of a simple tutorial or give me any pointers regarding changing torso AC?
I have decided to release a new version of this hak, this time instead of suplimenting CEP it will have 100% Compatability so there should be no issues whatsoever in people useing this hak series instead of CEP.
The downside, will be that the hak series will no longer be compatable with itself.

I only use cep because it is required or to get better looking clothes. I like this compilation better than cep though..except some stuff does not move.Still am going to use it more.I liked it.
Well, I'm going to give this one a whirl in the override :p I think it deserves a 10 for just the effort, but I do believe it's a bit cheeky to vote without at least testing it (I collected all my favourite heads on the vault, fixed bugs with them, put the right human heads onto human bodies for example, and my amount of work was miniscule compared to what you've done... and it is damn hard work! So a massive "thumbs up" to you).
What I would really love to see is an ultimate headpack, not just elves and humans, but every other race as well. I'm not asking by the way, because I know it's an unbelievable amount of work ;)

I have nothing new to say, others has already told it. ^_^
Okay okay, i say it too: Great Work! _________________________ It's not important what you achieve in your life. What is important is that what you leave behind when you die.
Sorry for being a dunce but I installed the haks in a new fresh module without cep and one with cep and the items are not visibile in the toolset. I loaded them in the module properties but same effect. Is there something that I am missing why I cant see all of the items described in the above description?
Its been quite a while sinse I was dithering around with this hak pack, currently RL Issues and Planning for my NWN2 RP PW eat up most of my time.
While I would love to do an update to this I dont see it as a practicle use of time considering NWN2 is so very close to release.
A Huge thank you to everyone who has supported this, expect more of the same come NWN2.
Have fun,
Ascadia

Hey Ascadia,
Just downloaded your hak pak and plugged it into a test mod that I use to look at haks. This looked so good to me I took your hak and extracted it right into my override folder. My NWN now has a totally new look. Holy cow theres some good stuff here. The best compilation of work that Ive ever seen. Sure theres some models that are just plain yuck like some of the Asian models for the Ninja and other oriental clothing (very little texture, good design but very flat). But the other pieces combined with the overrides that I already have are fantastic.
Great work, and thanks. NWN now has new life for me.

Ascadia,
Any plans on adding the new content released in the now-defunct Premium Modules?
There are some great cloaks, and tabards that would really top off this collection nicely. Might want to consider it if your still around.
Peace,
Juba

Also, unless these palette files are required for crafting, I would consider removing/editing them from asc_cc301a.hak, for extended 1.67 compatibility:
mvpal_cloth.bmp
mvpal_leather.bmp
pal_cloth01.tga
pal_leath01.tga
:)

It looks *quite* promising, but by forgoing cep_anatomy, you effectively delete all the custom heads as well - and might cause the silvery limbs problem too.
Also, it would be great if it were *fully* compatible with CEP: putting a couple of bits back is not going to make that huge a difference IMHO, but it would mean full backward compatibility with CEP modules.
I have a ptoblem though after installing this hak some people see all head silvery for someit fixed after reextracting the cep and the clothing hak and getting the head overrides for others it doesnt fix at all.

Excellent job done here, thanks a lot, very usefull and time saving.
Oh and armor 58 has an AC of 0. It is supposed to have an AC of 3 and be in the medium catergory. (although I do not think editing the category is possible)
100% agree, but I guess there is a reason why they didn't.
Anyway if these are not fixes, but more of a prefrence!
I will go by toolset numbers, (since I do not know how else to explain them)
173 should have an armor class of AC 3 being stud leather armor
165, 166, 167 should be a AC 4 or a AC 5, as they look like chain or scale. (leaning towards chain.)
162 should be AC 5 as it is chain or even a 4 since it could represent a chain shirt.
154, 155, 156, while I could see how they would be in the Breastplate area (ac 5) these only have the leather color to them, thus making more for a leather breastplate, which is AC 2.
189 is another Leather Breast plate, again an AC 2.
176, 177, 178 if you could duplicate them or move them to the AC 5, these make perfect breastplates as well as half-plates.
63 well I think it looks like Bark Armor in my opinion. AC 2
184 is bone armor which should be sittin pretty with AC 3.
If could fix those that would be great! And if you ever need a beta tester I love trying new stuff out and trying to break it as well!
Again great effort on this set! I would love to use it for my Prefabs!

I have two things to say. First thing Ascadia did you find newer clothing to add to the hak?
Second this is why I don't like how bioware did the armors. Bioware should let us set how many AC to the armor. I perfer it had a box saying what type of armor is it? A full plate, half plate, scale mail, chain mail, breast plate, hide armor, chain shirt, studded leather, leather, padded cloth, or cloth. That way if there is a screw up in armor we can fix it ourselves. Who here agrees with me on this one? _________________________ Yes I am made out of rocks. Now go do something.
Alright I downloaded it and tired it out and just looking at it I can see the amount of work that went into this. A few things I noticed that may or may not be by design:
Torso 173 makes a VERY nice common chest piece for studded leather armor, however it has an armor class of 7, which is equal to half plate! There are work arounds, in the toolset, but that would make it a magic set of armor then.
The bone torso 184, again a nice addition has an armor class of 7 again when according to the rules, it should be 3 (Arms and Equipment Guide).
166, 165 have look like chain mail but again have 7 armor. Many more pieces do this as well.
Some of the 0 armor class chest pieces would have made nice light armor pieces as well (especially the backpack ones!)
Bioware (for some reason) decided that all chest pieces that have an armor class of 4 will look like chain and all chest pieces with armor class of 5 will look like scale mail! This is backwards! (with the exception of chain shirt which has 4 armor). If you could have included some chain and scale chests in their correct armor category(for us purists) that would have been nice!
Why so many blankspot armor pieces when I go through the armor? (is this so it works with the CEP?)
I am not schooled in ways of making this sort of stuff. So I do not know if any of those things I listed are fixable or not. So please take this with a grain of salt!
Overall this is a great collection with a lot of Gems that should have been in the CEP in the first place! Great job to the original Authors and a great job to you to making this come together and work!
If you can fix those few things I think I wouldn't mind overwriting the CEP Anatomy. (if you can make a non overwritable version I will send you $5!)
Please let me know if this is your final version for this or if you plan to update it (within th enext few weeks). So I can give this beast an approiate vote!
So if I offered to send you a money order for $5 to make this CEP Compatible (not overwrite) you wouldn't do it? :( I make Prefabs, (working on a big Suzail one) and I try to make it mainstream so a lot of people will be able to plug it in and use it.
