Outdated but maybe still useful to some collection of Archived Tilesets by Worm.
*phew* what a mouthful.
what is this we have here, not much just a hodge podge of stuff, archive tilesets and what not...if my computer crashes at least I know I can still get this stuff.
its also made available for builders that may have too much work invested with these archived models to want/need to update to newer versions.
The Updated Finalized versions of these tilesets and more can now be found at: Link
Very Very Old and outdated Mirkwood Swamp tileset. here for [ARCHIVE] purposes only. If your still using this you really should think about upgrading to the newer version.
just the model/texture and 2DA line (for easy merging with your own appearance.2da) for a usable clown creature based off the work of Paganini (see credits in DL) you will have to make your own hak to be usable in game. see screenshot (i know I could of textured it better, but I needed it fast and threw it together) but here notheless for youa ll to enjoy
Undersea version 8. pre-release
almost complete. edge tiles still missing in areas and I want to add more features so up for ideas. looking for bugtesters. backwards compatible with previous version of undersea.
A new tileset based off the old BMRocky Mountains. It simulates underdark and underwater caverns quite well I think.
its still very early in release, this would be the first time actually being seen. its complete as is minus some minimaps, and edge.2da's
UPDATED: adds in new lava terrain and some stream ability, still early WiP.
Undersea version 10 complete. Submitted for the CC groups november submission. but too big to send via email. This is completely backwards compatible with any of the older versions of Undersea..just now has loads of new features. [FIXED: ceiling water tiles fixed.updates]
just a creature I needed for a mod. based off a wonderful placeable by Paganini on the vault. he deserves absolutely all credit. I just creaturized it and altered the texture a bit because I needed mine a bit more menacing.
Very nice! I like the way you can merge low, medium and raised tiles to create a gradual slope. For Ideas, I have to second the idea of chasm and ceiling-less/chimney tiles for places to climb (or swim) up or down. For cavern areas some features like colorful cave formations/rock curtains/pools would be nice. A formal edge tile that joins floor to ceiling to help avoid infinite edge planes would also be nice. Thanks for all this work!
I noticed one graphical anomaly: there is one of those slender coral things that is disconnected from the ground on a transition tile from lowest reef to lower reef.
I can always suggest more stuff, please don't feel pressured to make any of it if it's too time-consuming (I have never worked on tilesets).
If it's doable, it would be very cool to have some sort of underwater tunnel-type crosser tile that could be painted into the wall of a higher-to-lower-reef transition. A large area-transition cave entrance that could be placed on such terrain would be a neat substitute as well.
It would also be handy to have a chasm tile for the lowers reef terrain to simulate "the abyss at the deepest bottom of the sea."

For the 'climbing' areas, I really more pictured vertical surfaces, like the forest cliffs, that 'pierce' the ceiling. In other words, they disappear up beyond the plane of the ceiling. No walkmesh needed. The builder can then script their own climbing system. My system uses triggers near climbable areas. A PC entering it gets a message that 'it looks like you could try to climb here.' If they try (using a chat command like !climb up or !climb down), then a Climb skill check is rolled. Builder can set the DC in the trigger itself, with a variable called ClimbDC. This would trigger the appropriate climbing animation, and then if successful, jump the player to another location.
Same for the 'chimneying' areas.
Oh, a windlass is for the well, not the stairs. Its the spool with the rope, bucket, handle that sits above a well.
Let's see, on the river bottom...
I might have to send you an image, but basically picture a tile that has sloping sides like river banks, with an overhanging element to them, sorta eroded out underneath. If a builder set those as the 'edges' of his area, it'd serve as a river bottom nicely. The coolness would be to be able to have those banks make some nice curves, if possible. Don't know if it makes any sense. Lol. _________________________ My other sword is a +5 Holy Avenger

dont worry, I wont be giving them up as they will be making there way to Arbor Falls when complete.
@Jack
Great ideas, everyone of them...
question- whats a windlass for the stairs?
also for the climbing terrain cliffs, are you talking like an added feature of cliff that is walkable so the builder would have to script a blockage for players that dont have a climb check? and if they do they could just use the animation, remove the invis. block and have em click their way to the top?
for the undersea areas...
love the dockworks idea and i already created some 'better' floating boats, that first one was rather hastily put together.
muddy terrain and river beds? hmmmm, I am not sure how a river underwater would work? or maybe I am thinking in wrong terms here, maybe enlighten me witha pic or a link to something similar that i can look at and say....oh!
kelp forest, sea anemones and more marine life, and thermal vents have made it in to new build so will be avaialble on next update.

Hey, I just checked both Undersea and Underdark Caverns, and thought I'd drop a line about 'em.
Underdark Caverns:
1st Impression: WOW! I LOVE how the ceiling presses down, a massive, claustrophobia inducing block! I love the multiple levels, and how this can create 'squeezable' moments between the ceiling and the terrain. nice!
For requests:
1. Vertical openings - Imagine as you walk around down there, that you see an opening in the rocky ceiling. In that opening you might glimpse another level, or it might just be darkness.
Likewise, at your feet you might see an opening, with either darkness or a piece of floor below this one. Picture this like the 'windows' in other tilesets, where a bubble of 'outdoor' scenery is: like your own coach tileset.).
With a few rope, rope ladder, etc. placeables, or some scripting, this could be a unique means of entering/exiting areas of this tileset.
These opening could come in a few varieties. Well, at least three:
A: Unworked, natural openings with rough edges, boulder-strewn, roots, etc.
B: Worked openings, such as square shafts bordered by brick, iron rungs, etc.
C: Perfectly smooth, round openings that match the Beholder tunnel openings (Although truth be told I don't like the colors in that Bioware tileset for some reason).
2. Steps/stairs winding up and down. Crumbling, with some steps sheared almost away, ground down, worn to smooth edges, mossy, mouldering, bone-littered heaps of stone and mortar. Okay, a bit melodramatic perhaps. But yeah, stairs.
3. Wells, much like the floor openings, but as a well, surrounded by brick/rock/whatever. Some with windlasses, some without.
3. A few 'climbable' areas. I know, I know...., but if it could be done, YOU could do it!! hee hee. These would be more cliff-like walls a builder could place along the edges if desired (or wherever I suppose). At those places, with scripting, a Climb check could be needed to transition. In conjunction with the climbing animation available, this would be awesome for the Underdark.
4. Chimneying areas. Narrow areas between steep walls, where a scripter could require a Climb check to transition up it.
I got excited just putting down a gelatinous cube, and a slime, and wandering around down there 'til I ran into 'em. I set the lighting to Interior Dark, as right now the default is exterior I think. I really LOVE this set so far!! Please keep at it, man!
My biggest request would be muddy terrain, so I could simulate the bottom of a lake or river. Freshwater river and lake bottoms are mucky and muddy. A fast moving river might be rocky I suppose. I love Undersea, and so maybe this request is more for a different project entirely, an 'Underwater' tileset? Rocky or Muddy terrain, I guess, is primarily what I'm thinking of here.
River beds terrain. Sort of a ravine, bordered by slopes on both sides, that resembles the bottom of a deep river. Boulders and rocks, along with weeds and reeds, muddy areas, and overhangs on the 'banks' that could be transitions to caves, etc. One could conceivably script a 'current' that moves creatures 'downstream' unless they fight it, too.
Below dockworks: Pillars rising up to an overhead planking resembling below docks/piers/bridges.
Ships floating above: I did a rowboat creature, but maybe as part of terrain, ships floating on the 'surface', far above? You have the one, and I'd love to see this expanded.
Domes, both stonework and magical glasswork?
'Gardens' of anemones, cultivated by Sahuagin or Merfolk?
I'll keep looking. Great tileset!
Regards,
JFK

I'd be happy to help beta-test the undersea tileset.
As far as suggestions go, Atlantis-style structures (whether ruined or not) are always welcome. Other underwater points of interest could be shipwrecks or perhaps a thermal vent of some sort.
I am now taking requests for the undersea beta for features and groups.
also bugtesting.
interested in missing textures/ *sparkles* seams/
(I know about the Edge.2da and I wouldnt worry about those as they are last on the list)
I will be adding in alot more cave and 'doorway' entrances so look for those in the final release.
Hope you enjoy the extra layers to create 'deeper' undersea adventures.
If the ships could be made boardable as well that would be a great help.

All builders spend hours searching out the right hak to fit the idea of a module, but you consistently do us one better - you create haks that inspire the idea for a module! I know you've doubtless plans to keep pottering with this hak until you're satisfied, but I want to vote now before I forget altogether...an unfortunate habit these days.

Discovered a bug in the update... I don't know if this is just for me, or if somebody has already informed the author, but the eraser/Floor terain things don't seem to work in the Cypress swamp. Just thought I'd put that out there. _________________________ "Inconceivable!"

Can't wait for the update. Top-hole tilesets, mate! You can expect to see these in my mod. Or, like, all of my mods. : ) _________________________ "Inconceivable!"
