Description
Updated 12/8/09

This hak is for the 1.69 release of 3.3/CEP onwards. For CEP 1, you will need pstemarie's 1.69 patch.

How to use this: Read the readme file inside the .rar file you download, it tells you everything. Or, if you know what you're doing, put the haks and tlks in the right place and make sure this hak is at the top of the list. If that doesn't work, ask on the forums first...

We have left 3.0e + 1.53 up for any PWs not updating to CEP 2.0

pstemarie's 1.69 patch is no longer available. How to use the merge now?

any word on a update?

Okay for those who don't notice(as i did) use the module updater from the source NOT the link provided by a PRC install. The link will not give options for what files to use. Works great. Must have for builders.

Stack overflow error. Tried everything i can think of. I'm guessing if your not familiar with previous CEP/PRC mergers you shouldn't attempt this one.

Very happy to see the new version -- thanks again.

Very useful, thank you. If there was a way to prevent the toolset from occasionally crashing from this than I would give it a perfect 10.00, but until then a 9.75 will have to do.

Vinchenzo made a post here.
Plz check out my entries. I'm currently making a few simple modules, designing 3 special characters, and hope to someday be good this stuff.

This is Vinchenzo, finishing his post with the following advice:
Don't use Latin improperly (Lupis means grey, Rufus is red, Canid is dog, so on.) Furries annoy me with their improper usage of such. And I'm a furry!!! Ugh...
Don't vote for Beta things unless told they are finished, unless posted specifically by the author.
Don't abuse the vote and post function, don't vote for your own/friends stuff just to get a high vote. Don't flame vote either just to be an ass.
There is a voting system for how the points are used, even I forget, but we should follow it (and tattoo it to our forehead, lol)

The description reads "This hak is for the 1.68 release of 3.0f/CEP 2.0 onwards." Does that mean that this merge will work for PRC 3.1a as well?

Posted by feydras at 2006-12-09 11:00:59
Description says there is a Readme file in the rar. I didn't see one. Only hak and a tlk.

I tried to use this to add PRC to the CEP 2.0 'The Level Up Colosseum'. I left the CEP on the bottom in the correct order, all the PRC hak files from the 3.0f above that and this hak above that. I didn't know how to put in the tlk file that came with this download. I did not hit 'Check for Conflicts...'. When i hit OK it built for awhile and then gave me an overflow error.

Any suggestions? The Level Up Colosseum was just a test. I'd like to get this figured out to add to other modules.

No noticeable errors, and saves me a lot of heartache combining the CEP with PRC. I remember a time when it was up to the user to do it themselves... Without PRC and CEP, NWN online is NOTHING.

Will either of these work with PRC3.0f plus the CEP1.68 update?

Total mindblank from being rushed this morning with everything going on, fixed.

Ok, at the moment it has a set of 6 2da's instead of a hak. I fixed it by downloading the old 3.0e/1.5 merge, opening the hak with nwhak.exe (in your nwn utils folder) then select the 6 2da's and drag them over the old hak's 2da's. Save then add it to the top of your mod's hak list.

PRC Crafting system is a PnP based one that allows the creation of new items.

CEP Crafting allows you to change the appearance of existing items.

Can you tell me the difference between the two crafting systems? If I use another one what script am I using to turn the PRC version off?

Posted by Stratovarius at 2006-09-03 17:05:01
The two crafting systems do not conflict.

Is the PRC still compatible in a module if there module has had the CEP Crafting System .erf added to it? I wonder because the PRC has its own crafting system as far as I'm aware.

RE hak order, cep at the bottom, prc above that and the merge right at the top, individual order of the prc haks dosn't matter, and the order of the cep haks is whatever they say it should be :)

Posted by Felstaff ( 65.34.xxx.xxx ) at 2006-02-26 12:46:56
Sorry, all, cancel that...Got it to cancel for me, but still, the list of adding the haks would be a great help.

I know someone out there is going to flame me for this, but could someone here please list the order for adding hak packs for the PRC 3.0b2 as well as the CEP 1.52? Every time I try doing it without a template to go on, it crashes on me, and I've hit the cancel button on the build attempt as SOON as it shows up, but it won't cancel.

Another thing you could possibly do is remove the prc_include.hak, its only needed if you plan on recompiliing code using the PRC, and so its removal shouldnt affect gameplay.

After a bit of testing, I figured out a major problem with adding these haks; the CEP scripts.

Unfortunately, the PRC uses a boatload of scripts, some of which require modified BioWare ones. If you try and compile the CEP scripts as well, it throws an exception and the toolset goes boom.

The solution to that is to remove any CEP scripts from the module list and remove any references to them to be safe. Unfortunately, if the problem still persists, I can't help much unless I try with exactly the setup you have.
