I created this HAK for those of you that have been having the same problems with CEP textures that I was having.....
If you are seeing white patches in texture where color and texture should be, then you might just be having an issue with your video card, or you are using a laptop to play NWN on. that was my problem. I found out that older video cards and some laptops (mid to low end) do not like the .DDS high res images that make up the textures of some of the things you see while you play. So what I did is I took the two most offending HAKS (ceptexture.hak and cep1patch.hak) and converted the .dds files to .tga files. tga files are a lower res image type, and are supported by older video cards and laptops, I know this because this hak fix works on my laptop.
I want to remind anyone who uses this HAK, that they should back up any HAK installed by CEP, before extracting these HAKS into your HAK folder. Just in case this doesnt work and messes things up for you. That means it is entirely up to you whether you want to use this file or not. I take no responsibility in what might happen if you use these files......
Both files are compatible with CEP 151,but works with CEP152 I will work on an updated version soon
There are other hak files that use .dds files but the two i have altered seem to be the two that are really the issue.
If you use this HAK file let me know how it worked for you.

1. download and install CEP
2. back up the (ceptexter.hak & cep1patch.hak)files to a safe location on your PC.
3. extract this .rar file into the hak folder.
4. if you are asked to over write the two files with the new files, click yes or ok.
5. Test the hak....
THis should do it for you, as it does work for me.

I have read somewhere that the CEP team is going to be making a version or updateing the 2.0 to use .tga files instead of the imfamous .dds files, this is good news for me as I didnt want to go through this again to make a new version of this HAK. kind of makes you wonder why the CEP team took so long in figuring out that enough people have this issue to warrent this kind of HAK..... Why didnt they see this long ago....? I even asked them why they didnt and I never got a satisfactory answer..... HHHMMMMMMMM _________________________ Today is born the seventh one

Thanks..... I am going to start work on an updated version as soon as the new CEP version is released. but be patient, it will take a while to complete as it requires converting files one file at a time, and there are thousands of files...... _________________________ Today is born the seventh one

thank you verry much for this fix! i got an rivaTNT2 based card(i belive an elsa erazor III) and got some white textures, others worked. but now...hehe, no snowy floors or trees anymore :D

Keep in mind, it wnt fix 100% of the texture problems, as it was created for an earlier version of CEP, but it will fix alot of the issues. as I have said before, most of the stuff it didnt fix was some of the trees provided by CEP. and that seems to be the only things I have found that were not fixed..... _________________________ Today is born the seventh one

i gota wait 9 mroe mins to try this i tryed to downlaod it befor but it got down to 97% compleet then stoped i gues by ather coments it works but ill save that thx til after iv tryed it

I need to tell everyone this. It appears I missed something, some of the CEP trees placeables are still showing up white, however, I still think it is better that you see 1 or 2 items in white, that to see everything white..... _________________________ Today is born the seventh one

I downloaded this and it has worked perfectly so far. Any one having a problem with the texture from CEP should at least look into this patch. My hat is off.
