I love trolls. After all, who doesn't? They're enormous, brutally-strong and built to inspire fear in lesser creatures. That being said, I'm sure I wasn't the only player who was utterly disgusted with the lack of detail of NWN's standard troll model. And while Mr-Furious's troll model was great and a thousand times better then the game's "troll" model, it just didn't look right to me... too skinny, lanky and I disliked the way it's arms flailed about when it was walking (No offence to Mr-Furious, of course; I know how he used the Ogre's animations as a supermodel). So I set to work tweaking and heavily-modifying a troll variant of my own, using the troll head that Mr-Furious created (who I give full-credit and acknowledgement for), working to make this new troll heavier, bigger and nastier-looking... Because I was making it for a module of mine, I included several custom animations (such as drinking and kneeling down) which were used in the module's dialogue... designers might find use for them too. Also notice that the creature's model was actually named "Scrag" (the marine variety of the troll), because the creature I was modelling it for in the module was actually a Sea troll. Don't be fooled, though; I modelled this big, long-nosed beastie to match the common image of the troll, not an aqua-skinned monster with webbed feet. Just that the filename itself was called "scrag", so I felt I should've pointed out this nit-pick before somebody asked me about it.
I've slaved over this model to get it exactly right, so I hope you enjoy what I'm glad to have finally accomplished. :-) Once again, I thank and give full credit to Mr-Furious for his terrific work on the original troll model, and hope nobody feels I'm ripping his hard work off. xP
Hey, no problem. ;) People, you shouldn't have to ask for permission... you're all free to add my humble creation to your compilations, although leaving a comment here to let me know is encouraged. ^^; And RockDude, you should know that trolls are meant to be muscular. ;) They're not the wussy, twig-limbed stacks of toothpicks that the standard NWN model makes 'em out to be, y'know. They're killing machines who're able to rip through solid granite, and I'm angry at the designer who made the model of NWN's default troll for giving players the impression that trolls are meant to be small, humanoid-sized creatures. They're not! ;) And their creature category isn't "Giant" for no reason, don'tcha know...
Anyway people, I apologise for not showing any progress in troll models, or the Leviathan creature I was pondering of doing... as nearly all of my time recently has been modelling my Otyugh model for Neverwinter Nights! XD Yes, I know NWN2 is nearing the future and I'm uncertain if many people are still playing NWN as much as they used to, but I'm trying to create an Otyugh model for NWN before somebody else does... Currently, it's nearing completion (I've yet to do texturing or animation yet), but it's so damned high-poly, if I were to import it into the toolset right now, it'd crash the program with the detail overload. ;) So once I've finished detailing the skin mesh, I'm going to have to cut back on the polygon count, or else the Aurora engine will fry.
I'm hoping that people will enjoy seeing the Otyugh return to Neverwinter Nights, as I missed fighting these big ugly bastards in ye olde days of tabletop D&D. ^^; Oh, and on a different note, there was something I forgot to add to the troll model; the Impact node that sets the location for blood spatter VFX to play from, as well as spell effects, etc. I've fixed that recently, so I'm going to get around to uploading the (slightly) updated model in the near future (when I get around to it... *sigh* So busy). I put 'slightly' in brackets because I didn't think fixing a single node was worth calling it an "update". ;)

Fantastic work there! Though, its foots seem a bit strange compared to its hands if you know what I mean. ;) _________________________ Nothing's better than fine cold magic from an Orc!
Thanks, mate... And a big, dumb fat troll, y'say? :) Hrm, I think I could make something of the sort... it WOULD have to be pretty damned large, and I think I could safely substitute the Grey Render's texture for the cave troll's body (although I'd need to search and work a little bit harder to find something that'd suit the troll's head). As for the "leviatan" thingie y'mentioned, was that the big tentacled creature that came outta the water outside Moria? If so, I s'pose I might be able to create something of the sort sometime (not in the near future, I've got my hands tied with my module at the moment. o_0), although I'm guessing the multitude of tentacles is going to result in a pretty detailed (and high-poly) creature, at least if a Skin mesh was being used... Hmm. :) I'll think on this. Meanwhile, thanks for the support and I'll be sure to get working on a Cave troll model, as well as a shaman and armoured troll perhaps... _________________________ "Adventuring is the greatest thing since sliced bread!"

Can yow make a dumb fat troll like the one in Moria (lord of the rings)?
Do you know someone, who can make a creature like the leviatan creature at Moria entrance?
Thanks any way, i´m gona use your troll on my packs if you dont mind.
*smiles* I'm always happy to do more... thanks for the kind feedback, people! :) I adore having constructive criticism and comments for my work, and I'm glad that you like the final products of my hard work... And Thales, you're more then perfectly welcome to use the troll in your combo hak. :) Credit would be appreciated, but it ain't necessary.
As for more troll models... :) I'd like to make more, and I could always do with suggestions. I'm considering an Armoured Troll model (essentially, the above troll model equipped in full plate armour... probably gonna make it as twisted and ominious looking as possible). I'm considering the possibility of a Shaman model, but I'll need your suggestions before I get to work. ;) Remember, I'm always happy to work on models, as it's something I vastly enjoy.
*sighs* Sadly, I wish my current work would turn out as successfully... I'm currently working on a placeable model for a collapsed passageway in the sewers (it's gonna be used in my module, along with a crapload of other custom placeables I've created). It looks perfectly fine until it's made Useable, at which point the game freezes and closes out when the cursor hovers over the object. ;-_-; It's got me befuddled, and I'd appreciate any possible suggestions (I'm guessing it might have something to do with the model's heavy detail, perhaps... I don't know).
Thanks all, and please remember to leave comments and suggestions! :D
