The Alternate Combat Animations v3.0 Override, is an alternative solution to the hugely popular Alternate Combat Animations v3.0 (hak version) by Ragnarok_mr4, and has been converted by Scopeh with permission. ALL credit belongs to Ragnarok for these animations.
The advantage of using this Override version is that it will replace the default NWN combat animations with the combat set of your choice, meaning that you may use it on your favourite PWs or in Modules without the need to inject it into the mod as a hak. This version also comes with the files fixed to once again work with Wings and Tail Nodes.
The package comes with the 4 weapon based Combat sets of V3 and a new archery style (when using the assasin combat set).
Enjoy,
Sc(+)peh

Is it just me, but in v1.69 it changes NOTHING! I tried it with ALL four styles and none of them did what it was supposed to do. Does anyone else have this problem as well? _________________________ Legolase Zelenlisti, u sumi

is there any way that the npc's don't use it? 'cause is not really great to watch every character in-game use it, including some big and nasty orc... but well... really really cool animations though... thanks :D

I *really* like the override function much better than the hak version. makes it much easier to handle than to try and make it compatible with my own system. if you can, try and get the v4.0 as an override as well, you have my full support and vote :)

Simply awesome, 10 isn't even enough.

Good hak. Wondering though if you could mix and match these stances somehow. Cause I like the heavy stance with 2h weps and I like the kensai dual wield stance. I know im being picky, but it would be sweet if I could have both. Is there a way to do that?

Alriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight! These are awesome. But yeah, could you please make a version for the cloaks? These are awesome and I have a combat sorcerer that uses a cloak (quite obviously) and the heavy stance with him wearing the cloak just looks... wrong. Thanks for reading this comment, from a humble member of the NWN community.

I'm absoultely gobsmacked and flattered to win the award for best hakpak/other, I had no idea at the time of converting ACP3 that it would ever become so popular.
I would like to add though, that the credit and the spot light belongs to Ragnarok_M4, without his excellent animating talent it would never have been possible. I simply took his excellent mod and converted it into a more accessible medium.
If there is demand for it after all of these years I will go about fixing the capes issue, I had no idea unfortunately as I get little time to play anymore as me and my partner are expecting our first child! :)
Anyway thanks for the award guys, and thanks Ragnarok! Hope to see your excellent work surface one day in NWN2!
Scope.

I agree with Araziel, NWN2 needs animations like this.

i absolutely loved this hak back during the orgional NWN days. but i was hoping CAN you make a new pack for NWN 2?...i honestly think the dual wielding animations make my drow fighter look like a flailing drunk! i mean common a drow fighter with two katana HAS to look kick ass!!!

Really want to give it a 10 but it doesn't work with cloaks. Cloaks turn stiff and hang a little strange.
So, if you don't wear cloaks they are fine, otherwise...good, but not great.
Thanks though. I think these are all really nice.

Can someone confirm if this works with cloaks? And does it use the newest ACP? From what I see, this was posted earlier (01-15-2006) and the ACP page posts a later date (02-24-2006). _________________________ - Ice

Very nice _________________________ Let there be rock
Can someone please help me with this? I placed the files in my hak folder, just in case, then copy-pasted them to the override folder, but it's not working. What else do I need to do? _________________________ Flogging will continue until morale improves!
Will freely confess I don't know much about installing haks etc so was delighted when I mangaged to see this work on the official campaign and SOU and the first few mods of Shadowlords, all v.1.68 and also with PRC 3.1c . The same setup doesn't work with the mod Darkness over Daggerford. Can anyone help?

Awesome! This override is absolutely fantastic! Excellent work. Great content, a must-have for anyone who dislikes the vanilla-flavoured combat movements from Bioware. _________________________ "People never look where they're walking, it's safer that way."

Great job! Override version is great for those of us that don't have the toolkit (ie Linux). Some day someone's going to get bored of me banging on about that...
