*ahem* Sorry about that. This is my first contribution to the Vault...hope somebody finds it useful (or at least worth a laugh). Also apologies if something like this already exists on the Vault or elsewhere; I searched for it before embarking on trying to make my own and couldn't find anything.
I pieced together these two weapons for a nasty PC character of mine (neither of the characters shown in the screenshot) who has a thing for blood...these all-red weapons constantly shed bloody drops which stay on the floor for a moment before soaking in and disappearing. Gruesome fun!
Really big thanks to gaoneng on the NWN Bioware forums for pointing me in the right direction to start on this (although his advice was for a slightly different project), Eligio Sacateca's Custom Content Guide for the breakdown of what the variables in the emitter nodes mean, and of course the NWN development team for a great game!
Includes a hakpak with everything needed for the weapons, a one-room module with some "sample" nonmagical bleeding weapons for a PC to pick up, and instructions on how to modify how the blood drops look and behave.

Excellent!
These are now in my haks.
I especially appreciate that you gave full instructions for customizing the emitters in your docs. Bravo! That makes builders happy as clams... and these could make nice Acid weapons or Slime weapons or any number of things.
Could you email me -- i am "Darklight" on the Bioware boards and I had a couple of other questions for you.
Thanks again for a great hak, Mortuai!
(although my longswords are now full)
Nope, didn't have to (although in the case of the character I built it for, the answer was "yes" because the weapons are supposedly made entirely out of magically-congealed blood), and you're not required to, either. The only way you're "forced" into having it an all-red weapon is if you just play the sample module to pick up the sample weapon rather than creating your own.
Just use the toolset to create a module with your own version of the weapon with the hakpak (or, even easier, modify the sample module and modify the sample weapon...it's very easy, really)...and just use option 10 for the bleeding blade and any of the standard options (i.e. 1-8) for the middle and bottom parts. You don't have to have your version all red.
Charmed, your suggestion was the path I was initially trying to take when I thought of doing this, but I was informed NWN has no provision for creating new weapon-based visual effects (like the "Evil" glow or the "Fire" effect you can apply via the toolset)...strange they'd leave that out. Bioware made provisions for new additions to just about everything else. *shrug*
Anyway, I found you CAN replace one of the existing weapon-based vfx (i.e. a weapon which normally has the "acid" effect could have the dripping blood instead), but I really didn't want to do that...couldn't decide which one to replace!
So I took a different direction, which was embedding the "dripping blood" effect as an emitter directly in the model itself.
To make a long story short (too late)...the answer is: not really. Sorry 'bout that.
