Remember the fun you had as a little kid getting bottles of bubble soap with those cheap plastic wands and blowing those shimmering little bubbles? (No? Geez, I feel old now...) Now your character can do the same with this emitter-based bubble soap wand!
The bigger NWN project I'm working on right now has some possible copyright issues I need to resolve if I want to continue with it, so I did this in the meantime using an emitter technique I stumbled onto in process of building part of the bigger project.
The bubble soap wand is used in the shield hand like a torch, except instead of emitting light and smoke, it leaves behind a trail of animated bubbles in two different sizes as you move. More of the smaller bubbles are produced than bigger bubbles, but they don't last as long as the bigger ones. The smaller ones also tend to move a little more quickly than the big ones. And as these are supposed to be like real soap bubbles, they are indeed affected by the wind.
Sure, this is completely useless and very silly, but hey, it's fun!
Includes everything you need to make your own bubble soap wand, a sample wand in an .erf file, and instructions.
I feel a strong urge to use this in my mod, just have to find an excuse to build some trick/trap round it. Hm- it might confuse whil-o-the -whisps, like that anti-radar stuff!!
