The v1.0 release is the initial release for this hak. I wanted to add some rusted/aged/weathered weapons based off of the Aged and Weathered Battlefield Placeables I had done earlier. These weapons look best when
being wielded by the undead and add some immersion to the game. There are 3 large shields, 3 small/buckler shields, 3 greataxes, 4 battleaxes, 1 longsword, 2 short swords, 2 warhammers, 4 maces, and 1 halberd. The hak is CEP 1.52 and HOTU 1.66 compliant, but neither are required and the hak is compatible with the original NWN and SOU for all recent patch revisions. There is a DEMO mod of a small crypt where you can see the items and a chest full of them to play with....
Files
AgedWeapons.hak --- This is the basic hak
Usage
* If you want the aged weapons and are not using CEP, just add the AgedWeapons.hak file to your module.
* If you are using the CEP, place the AgedWeapons.hak in your module *AFTER* all of the CEP haks.
After following the above instructions for whichever method applies to your module, click on the "Paint Items" button. Then click on "Custom" below that. In the tree menu, right click on the word "Armor" and select "Refresh Palette". All the new aged weapons will now appear in various categories.

great stuff! Out of curiosity, any chance on getting that update? Could REALLY use that aged longbow in a crypt I've got...

Very nice. Actually when you mention about it in some cases it is really wired when time did not diminish power of steel. Especially when that are ordinary weapons made of iron.
So, once again I will wrote: nice and good addition to NwN.

I like this hak very much, and am certain to find a good use for it (more than the placeables, but they are still of excellent quality). Looking forwards to your future releases, thank you, Tiberius :)

Ignore me, I'm just weird ;)
The good thing about an erf as opposed to haked blueprints is you can choose whether or not to import it. In my case that would be into a test mod, rather than my main one, so I could choose whether I actually wanted any of the blueprints. If it is in the hak, then there is no choice (unless the builder is okay with removing the itp files and distributing another version of the hak to his/her players) and you cannot edit the haked blueprints. It was probably the worst thing about the CEP... all that uneditable palette clutter. Either way it's no hardship for me, so you should use whatever method is expedient for your work.
I guess my main issue with erf files is that they "cling" with the module once imported, they are are part of the module and not part of the hak. If I change my hak and have to reorder some 2da files, I can edit the blueprint files directly and all the end user has to do is update their hak, refresh the palette and voila. With erfs, if you get a newer hak that maybe changes something you have to edit (within the NWN editor) your instances from the import and do a refresh for every single changed item. At least that has been my experience...maybe there is a better way? Not trying say people aren't smart enough to use erf files, just trying to make it easier for going from version 1.0 to 1.1 to ... with the hak progressions. _________________________ [More TNO Placeables][Community Music Pack][More Doors][My Other Custom Content]

Not for one moment to detract from your excellent work but... why the itp files rather than an erf? What's wrong with erfs? I don't regard myself as atypical and all I did with your hak is remove them and the 2da before adding what was left to my hak list (obviously already using the CEP, countless other haks and my own combos).
At this stage in the life of NWNs, anyone who can't import an erf needs to be horse-whipped. Hardcoded haked blueprints are anathema to the soul of serious builders... all it does is clutter up the palette.
Thanks Frayne. I am trying to (and have) updated several older works to HOTU-1.66 an d CEP 1.52, plus I finally got around to making blueprints in the hak rather than pesky erf files.
For 1.1, I'll definitely have some more swords, hammers and dwarven waraxes. I will work on getting that bow in there as well. Hopefully be out before the end of this month. _________________________ [More TNO Placeables][Community Music Pack][More Doors][My Other Custom Content]

Great to see you back in business Tiberius. I'll have many uses for these and not just with zobblies. If/when you add more, some dwarf waraxes, the bigger swords and the odd bow would be nice.

The perfect accompaniment to the author's placeables.
