That's a FIRST final version of Rideable Horses. I'm not a scripter and old script system was buggy. I didn't see Gilean for almost a year so now I share ONLY MODELS AND ANIMATIONS.
Those horses are like my old one (NIC Rideable Horses), but I've done some modification and fixed some issues:
- Crashes were caused by a too large number of bones in the skin-mesh. So I cutted some parts and now (in my PW) everything works fine.
- Phenotype changing is less intensive (less lag during change)
- Fixed some animation issues
I've included also two more rides:
- Nightmare
- Aurentil
(see screenshots)
NOTE: this two are only for tall races (by now).
Maybe there are still some bug and this pack it's not really noob-friendly, but I hope that many expert builders can upgrade my old pack with this one with no problems at all^^
Appearance.2da is CEP compatible.
PHENOTYPES:
Tall races:
5,6,7 = horses
Small races:
5,6,7 = ponies
10 = Nightmare
11 = Aurenthil

Phenos change is the only way it could be done. DLA made it in a different way, but thx to a patch. Dismount is really simple...just turn back your PG pheno to 0 (slim) or 2 (fat).
Receiving a 5 is quite strange, if the voter didn't understand the work behind this hak. However 900 donwloads and 6 votes demonstrates how many people think in this way.

I liked it, Though it would have been better if you could actually hop onto the very horse you talk to instead of changing the PC's appearance.
There is a problem though - You can't Dismount! I find this a major problem in any module that wants to go online.

ok.. me and my bf have a server that use gus_horses_v1.rar but we are having a problem with the hak after it was changed cuz we did not change it on our server... the problem is when ppl download it so they can play it tells them that they still need gus_horses_v1.rar even though they have this gus_horses_v1_w_mod.rar

gus im having the same problem as the joker was with the nightmare when i sue a scriptt o make his phenotyp 10 nothing hapens please take a look at i i think tis because neither of us were using cep creatures could that be it?

This hak is one of my favorites.. but I can't get it work with ACP...

To my knowledge, the armour problem is very easy to fix
You just need to toggle a single value in the appearance.2da files to do it
I don't know too much about it though, but Stonemonkey explained it a bit over at his flying NPCs, down in the comments as an answer to my curiosity about whether or not phenotypes or an appearance would work better for them

How can the PC unhorse ?
Does this pack get rid of the see through armor issues? Using an older version any time a character with plate armor mounts a horse, thier armor (the shiny metal bits) are see through.
Alright one last question from me *fingers crossed* :P
Now that the NPCs are on the horses can they move around? I tried using normal waypoints but that didn't work..

If you put SetPhenotype(5, OBJECT_SELF); in NPC OnSpawn it should works...in my case it works in the right way.
Is it possible to make it so NPCs are riding around on the horses? I was using the previous NiC Scripts and it was 100% cross compatible. (I had broken the nightmare one myself.)
For speed: simply add speed with a script and run animation will automatically speed up.

Excellent script looks beautiful.
For those of you not seeing the creatures in your list, simply open up his test module and export them from there, then import them into your module.
only glitches i've seen are 1: can't figure out how to dismount them. 2: the overall animation and movement speed of the horse seems a bit slow. Perhaps tweak them just a bit so it doesnt appear that someone on foot can outrun them.
